Service

VERY glad to see some efforts towards improving service. BTW-Anyone notice the Lucid branded rooftop box? Hmm...interesting.
I’m a loyal lucid enthusiast, owned Air GT, and now Gravity GT. finally got an appointment at the nearest service center two hours driving to be told that the first appointment available to even diagnose my car’s no connectivity problem is in mid January 90 days away. In the meantime, I’m told to rely on my phone for navigation and other Internet requirements. I’m making $1500 a month payments for a car with no connectivity, and as a result, missing many key functions if I were asked by a friend to recommend or not recommend lucid, I would tell them, buy the car expecting no service support, and if the computer goes down like mine has, forget it. You’re on your own. I own a ton of lucid stock, and I hoped for their long-term success, but this is a company going down the drain.

Like I said , service availability is an issue but they are addressing it. It’s not an overnight fix. Coming here and saying they are going down the drain or saying you won’t recommend Lucid doesn’t help you in anyway.

Understand your frustration. But if phone connection works for now , you can still use your vehicle. Only issue might be software updates. Did you try a software reset?

I’ve come to this frustration level after five calls with service support who have reset my computer multiple times, soft resets, hard resets, and even arranging to have the telemetrics board unplugged from the car, powered down, and then reconnected all to no avail. We disconnected Wi-Fi, disconnected all cell phone connections, reconnected everything, reinitialized everything, add and change profiles, nothing works, and to be told it’ll be 90 days before it’s even diagnosed is just not acceptable in anybody’s book. It’s great if lucid improves their service over the coming year, but it doesn’t do much for my current situation. The lucid service tech that I personally visited this morning told me they’ve communicated their need for more staff for the past year, with zero progress or anything at all done about it I’m a lucid fan. I’ve been a lucid enthusiast for the last five years, owning two of their vehicles. The good that it does me, saying that I’ll not recommend this vehicle to my friends is simply the truth, and Lucid ought to hear it.

Gasskiller, you need to stop chastising people for complaining about issues with Lucid on this site. Complaining about valid issues is a prime reason for this forum and just because your experience may be different, they have a right to vent. Also, Lucid is supposedly, from reports, making improvements to service with new service centers and hiring new staff, but until all of that comes online and results are experienced and varified here in the field, I will hold my judgement on how Lucid SC is improving. If the new Cosmos comes online next year and is as popular as they hope, it could contribute to overwhelming all of these SC improvements if there are any issues with it.

I have a second row seat issue with my Gravity that has been attempted repair twice that I am just living with right now because I am not willing to go through the hassle of trying to get a SC appointment and then give up my car for a month. Hoping that these SC improvements that are promised actually help and might try this repair sometime next summer.
