Second Row Seats Wont Return to Vertical

For the life of me, i can't get my 2nd row seats to return from the flat position to vertical. Everything i read or am pointed to fails to show how to or function. I think i could brute force them up but this seems wrong and im not sure i could slide the lower seat cusion back period
Is this a glitch in sortware or am i missing something? Or both?

Lowering is automatic, raising is manual. Lift them with your hands.

(Yes, they are a little heavier than they look)

You may need to move the driver seat forward to lift the left seat section. For some reason this doesn't auto-adjust. (More software....)

If you double-tap the button on the side of the second row seat it should move the front seat forward to allow the second row headrest to clear the front row seat-back. You can then manually raise the second row seat-back to the upright position (thiis requires some effort). Then you can manually raise the second row seat-bottom to it’s normal position.

Some people (Like me) have trouble with the double-tap on the side of the second row seat BTW. If that's the case in your vehicle, long press on the same button (the "fold" command) will likely get the front row to slide forward so you can lift the second row seatback.

Yes, if you were thinking of going to the gym don't bother. Just pull those seats up. 10 reps aught to do it. While you're at it you can assist the seat moving mechanism by pushing it in the direction of travel. I found that after helping it a few times it sounds much better. It needs to grind parts into submission.

Hopefully it’s something simple, but I wouldn’t force it until you know what’s preventing it from returning to vertical.
