OK, so while vacuuming my car at a car wash, I accidentally sucked up the small rubber mat at the base of the cup holder. The car wash management said they looked but could not find it.

No big deal, right? I'll just call the service department and buy a new one.

I was told that I have to replace the entire dash in order to get a new cup holder liner. WTF! It's just a little round rubber mat at the base of the cup holder!
 
Sounds like someone in service misinterpreted what you needed. That makes zero sense.
 
There’s nothing magical about the Lucid rubber and I doubt collectors 100 years from now will insist on OEM cupholder liners. Amazon has 1000s listed.
 
I suspect you can find one in the used car parts market...

This is the type of inexpensive part that I would think a luxury car company would just throw in as a freebie while servicing the car. It is probably too small a part to be separately sold. If your car is not being serviced, and you are annoyed, just buy one from Amazon.

I've been looking and haven't found anything. Anyone got any good places, other than Amazon, to check? I hate that I lost it and really want an original Lucid piece. (I'm picky about that stuff)

My car was being serviced at the time. I had asked about it when I dropped the car off, but they never did anything about it. So I called them back up and got that response.

It’s funny how different people are; one of the first things I did was pull them out and replace them with ceramic ones haha

A bit of my own experience as I had a missing left hand water bottle holder liner for some reason. Graciously lucid replaced it for free at a mobile service visit.

I’d wager they misinterpreted what you want and thought it was the cup inset itself, which is not removable on the Air to my knowledge.

This is my guess too. Those are parts that cost cents, not dollars.
