Review: Heat Shield Store custom sun shades for Lucid Air

I just ordered the liners for the roof, not sure why Lucid or weathertech is too slow to get in the game. But living out here in Palm Springs got me so desperate for cover that I was ready to cut up my own cardboard and stick it up there with tape. This would at least be aesthetically pleasing. Thanks for the info!
Lucid just released their own shades. They are mesh, not solid.

I wonder how much heat it will actiually keep out with it being mesh and not some sort of reflective material.

I used a mesh type cover in my model S. Worked great and cut the heat down but still let in a little light. I'm just not a fan of the heat shield units as the foil material cheapens the interior IMHO. There's gotta be a balance.

I'm going to give these a try. My canopy has been sizzling hot these days.

Lucid now sells their own shades for the glass roof—anybody compared them to third-party options?: Lucid Air Sunshade, Glass Canopy $170

Driving across Southern California and Nevada I felt a lot of heat coming down through the top and wished I had something to block it.

I have the HeatShield shades and the Lucid shades - got the HeatShield before Lucid released theirs. They're apples and oranges. The HeatShield is an insulated mirror, it's opaque. I still haven't actually put up the glass canopy part of that one, it seems like too much of a hassle to use daily, and I'd rather just put the outdoor cover on the car if I'm leaving it for days. I do use the windshield HeatShield daily while parking in summer. Even that isn't the most convenient though, it's awkward unrolling and rolling it up in the car, it takes some fiddling to get it in the right position, and it takes up more space than I'd like while rolled. I just don't have a better option there.
I have the Lucid shades installed just about all the time. They're super easy to install and remove, they look great, you can still see through them. I no longer feel the heat on my head at all. They don't stop the car from becoming a sauna while parked, but they work well enough while driving that I forgot the heat from the top was even a problem until you mentioned it.
