Radio Antenna Replaced

Alex: Thanks for letting me know they use AT&T. My friends on that round here have no problem.

I will try after Christmas (confident) that I can generate enough modulated FM signal to be heard on the Lucid. One fallback is to put a separate modulator in the trunk near the receive antenna, and run audio into it from the front. I'll report back in Jan.

I currently use this FM transmitter and if works great from the front of the car. I suppose I could relocate it to the rear antenna, but it needs some USB power. The worst is actually running a cable to rear and not having look bad:

Alex: Thanks. I haved used this type also - if legal, they must be FCC Part 15 approved - they usually run 10 mw or so.

There is 12 V in the trunk, so I will aim to use that.

I had my ham radio and Sirius working well in my Clarity. Now need to do that in the Lucid.

In my Clarity. I used the pass through to the trunk for wiring. Also went under rugs to the front. I need to see what the Lucid offers.

All to be tested in January, after holidays. You can see from my picture at the left how I handled the 50 Mhz antenna in my '56 Merc! Not aiming for that in the Lucid.

Happy Holidays
