Seems like efficiency is in line with the Gravity given pack size and range.
 
Yeah but they would reveal R3 prior to getting the 45K one because in real world, you would probably be getting 150-180 miles tops at 80%. That's oof
 
Lucid keeps talking about how low their BOM is compared to competitors. Would be incredible if their pricing aligns with R2 pricing.

That’s without options. price will quickly go above 60 with options.

…as with any cars base MSRP. Starting Lucid Gravity MSRP of $79,900. Add 5k in options, if you want those options then you’re at $84,900. If you don’t want any options, then you’re at $79,900.

True, but Tesla's don't generally have a lot of options available, so MSRP of those largely aligns with what people will purchase them for. Lucid, on the other hand, has a lot of $ worth of options, so price tends to be a lot higher than MSRP. Will be interesting to see where the R2 lands.

Doing it with few to no options keeps the manufacturing, supply chain, and inventory all simpler. These are all the traits I hear management talk about when discussing r2, so I am expecting few options. Lucid keeps talking about a premium product, so maybe they keep more options available, but it could mean emphasis on efficiency, comfort, and space with few options. Tomorrow’s presentation will be interesting and hopefully impressive!

Exactly. I suspect Rivian will not be able to resist adding options for additional cost even to the launch version. Scaringe has stated that their average R1S was
Over $90k because of highly optioned vehicles. So yes, will be interesting to see if they can fight this tendency with R2.

Seems vast majority of Rivian buyers historically have optioned up their R1S significantly. Yes this may be a different market but many of the people buying the launch edition R2 are probably existing R1S or R1T owners who will similarly opt for additional features if they can get them.

It'll get there out the door with the requisite 3-10K in options, unless they have a special loaded Performance Launch trim.
 
Rivian's official announcement lists the standard features and available options for each trim. It's basically a tow package, exterior colors, larger wheels, Autonomy+ (lifetime or monthly subscription), and AWD for the standard trim. So, most features come standard, depending on trim level.

The R1S has far fewer option packages than Lucid Gravity does. Hopefully, Lucid follows in Rivian/Tesla's footsteps with the Earth/Cosmos and not what they did with the Gravity.
