Rivian releases its own Q4 production and deliveries first thing this morning. Their stock is up nicely on meeting expectations despite a Y-O-Y decline. Is there possibly yet another Rivian lesson here for Lucid? Wall Street is hungry for information. Will Lucid release it's own (probably record) Q4 data this morning, with details on both the Gravity and the Air, or will they just let some third party outfit take a SWAG?

Historically, Lucid has released its quarterly numbers on the 6th of the month. I expect them to come out on Tuesday.

Lucid's internal systems are not good enough for them to release numbers that quickly.

Not to belabor it, but there is just no good reason why that is the case. I was responsible for Corporate Finance, Planning & Analysis for many years, and this is the kind of stuff that is continually tracked and reported internally to sales, manufacturing, and investor relations, among many others. It's a reason... just not a good reason. Among all the data tracked, these are the easiest to keep tabs on.

I agree with you. I just don't think the current capability of Lucid's internal systems is up to the task yet.

I think it's kinda irrelevant to the stock, its can only go down if they don't get to the 17-20K they said.

There was a rumor circulating on Twitter from an internal source that the 18k production goal was hit on December 16th. I’m hopeful this is true and that they exceeded this by a good margin through year end.

Don’t think you’ll find any of us disagreeing with you there. :)

I will say that my SA was surprised that our car was produced as quickly as it was and ready for delivery to us as soon after it was produced. His comment was that "the truck driver must have been speeding from Arizona to NorCal!"
At the time, I wondered if the quality checks had been skipped, and yes, we later realized that the frunk opening doesn't ever work on first try, and that first try looks pretty bad to watch. But other than that, the fit and finish is mostly good, one spot (frunk to right front top corner) where panels don't quite line up perfectly.

Target was initially 20,000 for 2025. Then it became 18,000 to 20,000 range. Then 18,000. Stock was up today. Wall Street typically gets the “news” before becomes public. Although not always. My gut tells me they hit the 18,000 target, and possibly close to 20,000.

Yes the last flyover video of AMP-1 seemed to indicate they had made good progress on ramping and delivery logistics...

Totally unscientific but at Plainview they said they have been prepping a lot of Gravities, and they expect them to surpass Airs.

If they did hit 18k on Dec 15th then they could have hit 20k. The estimate of producing 800-1k/week which was suggested on the AMP-1 flyover would potentially get them to that number.

I know. I just don't know why.
Bare in mind that Rivian only need to account car sold in one country, but Lucid is selling in several countries. We have different holiday in ME, EUR.

As for tesla, elon already concluded its the best selling car in the world before numbers are out 😆.

Sorry, but still mIce nuts in the scheme of things. Two final assembly sites and a limited number of direct sales operations worldwide...

Just being different.....I think.....they don't need to just follow what Rivian or Tesla does.

Well, they certainly aren't following Rivian and Tesla as far as share price movement goes. I'm just suggesting that there is probably some good news to tell about production, inventory and deliveries, so why not demonstrate that you are following solid business practices, and tell the story both on a timely basis and in granular detail (i.e. break out Gravity & Air)? With two final assembly points and a direct sales model, these data are readily available.

If it is good news, maybe they’re optimizing the share price impact by releasing the info tomorrow instead of on a weekend.
