Just picked up my car from the body shop. I had selective chrome deleted done around the plastic trim of the car. Kept most of the aluminum. Also had them match the mirrors with the pillar aluminum look. The job turned out better than I thought it would.

You didn't even show off your calipers!

You already got custom license plate? Did you transfer that from existing plate?

Make some cool Lucid iOS companion app please.. 😛

That’s been my plate for a quite a few years now 😅. Sorry, my skills are actually put towards the FordPass app atm.

Just got this done by Bings in Minneapolis. Full body PPF, tint and chrome+silver delete. Absolutely flawless on everything. Highly recommend. Happy to connect folks

Looks awesome! Did they have to cut out the letters of the LUCID logo on the front? My detailer is pushing back on that... What level of tint did you go with?

I did. They cut them out and it looked great.

So ... when doing a blackout wrap on the front bumper area, I'm often seeing the chrome piece going across the front of the hood being blacked out with a matte, satin, or gloss wrap. It appears in most cases the Lucid letters are cut out. Is the Lucid logo back lit? Would it still be visible if covered with a clear wrap without the letters being cut out? Does cutting out the letters increase the risk of the wrap lifting over time?

Was an easy decision on my side with no risks im aware of.

My tint is 30%. Looks super dark in back partly due to the shades being up for kiddo.
And I think Rob (BingsMN on IG) has a custom printer with subscription to templates that he printed all of the vinyl and PPF from. So it wasn't a question.

Nate, I thought you had used RM auto? You recommend Bings over RM? Have a call into Reese now
Sorry for confusion. Both are world class at respective offerings. Reece does all of my paint correction and coatings - only modesta shop in MN. So far I’ve had my windows, wheels and hubs - make sure to have this done as the lucid ones rust easily - I have appointment to get exterior and leather done also.

Bings does all of my PPF, vinyl and tint.

Thanks for that. If you don’t mind me asking, what was Bings pricing?

Bings is cost competitive but is more focused on absolute perfections. The owner will do application, it wont be perfect - to his standards and then redo over and over until it is perfect. I'd be happy to show you my car as proof if you want. I've seen a couple other lucid's with tint and Bings was significantly better.

I don't remember specifically by product/offering but total was $7,200 with tax for full body PPF, tint and vinyl.
