2026 Lucid Gravity GT
First, apologies on my initial post. I had written all the items I was upset about but for some reason they did save.

The reason why I was/ am regretting the purchase is simply because too many things are not functioning as they should. keep in mind I did purchase this vehicle with a complete open mind. I have had a couple EVs so I'm not new to them but I was expecting more out of the Lucid. I'm also not going to make non stop comparisons to Tesla because we all know Tesla is the gold standard in software but again I was expecting more and that's a big factor in my displeasure with my G.

I'd like to pint out the positives before I ramble on about all the issues I'm having. The car is beautiful! interior exterior everything. designers need a high five, part of the reason I purchased the vehicle is the looks. It looks amazing with out it drawing lots of attention to its self, i can have a rocket wagon that looks sutle. The comfort and feel of the materials is also exceptional, the materials feel strong as well. The fit and finish is perfect. the brown color for the interior is also super nice. I looked over every inch of the car and panels gaps are perfect interior is also spot on. zero complains on that department. the APP is also not bad, needs work but its not horrible. its not Tesla good but it is better that what I have for my Ford F150.

NOW...

here are the issues I'm having with the .
  1. the G does not recognize my phone or the key fob. I have to use the card in order to get in the car (today in the morning it unlocked on its own for the first time)
  2. the G does not want to start, I have to sit in the car for a couple of minutes until it recognizes something and it gets going. Last night I had to call Lucid and they asked me to do a soft re-set and a power shut down because after about 15 minutes the car never turned on. not the most fun thing to do while returning from dinner (you can all imagine the amount of S&^t I heard about the car)
  3. GPS. it still thinks the car is in Miami while I'm driving in Ft Lauderdale. Lucid want the car back for this at the end of January to help resolve it. so no GPS for the whole month of January.
  4. Bluetooth. phone connected but no one can hear me. I had to place all call on speaker or place the phone to my ear (I absolutely hate doing this while driving especially with the high amount of calls i get per day) also my second phone cant connect. the system does not allow to have dual phone connected at the same time, as long as my main phone is connected I'm ok.
  5. phone contacts don't transfer over to the G.
  6. Steering wheel controls. both pad on my steering wheel don't work.
  7. the phone controls are really bad. it pick up when i say "Hey Lucid" but that's as good as it gets. don't like that feature. feel like I'm driving with Alexa all the time and I'm not an Alexa fan.
  8. Ambient lighting. Does not always work, also dislike that the light portion in the dash cuts out while driving. very annoying.
  9. Braking. Every time I've driven the G I get the same message. Regen Braking reduced or not functioning.
  10. Speakers. First I'll say the dealer was not able to get me a car the way i wanted the G with the Pro speakers but the basic speakers are horrible. Horrible. I've got a $50 blue tooth speaker that sounds much better than he whole system. as I'm writing this I think I'm going to take down the Bluetooth speaker and use it for music.
  11. No Android Auto (yet)
  12. Spotify. does not load all songs in my playlist. will continue to play the playlist just wont load the rest of the songs.
  13. did I mention the speakers are terrible? seriously my 1981 Volkswagen rabbit 3 speaker set up has more balls than the 10 speaker disgrace I have in the G.
  14. HomeLink. cant get it to work, added a clicker tot he sun visor and problem solved.

I'm sure there are more items I will find but for now those are what I've noticed. I've only driven the car 130 miles in 3 days so I'm sure more tings will come up. my complaints are mainly inconveniences. The fact that I cant function the phone hands free drives me nuts. i also have played with the Dream drive 2 (what ever its called) only because i don't want to add to the list of items. I did purchase last night the rear cargo cover and the all weather mats hoping to receive them soon.

Someone asked me yesterday what's it like to own the car and my response made them laugh but its very accurate. "you're rocking 12 inches in your pants but your impotent".

It is unfortunately fairly frequent to feel that way in the first week of gravity ownership. They do have a bunch of issues. Lucid is very aware I'm sure.

However...
Many of the issues that you are seeing are easily replicable and different to my issues... And hence should be fairly easily fixed by a service, and in my case the service experience was good (they came to our home and swapped our gravity for an air for a week).
We also had the steering wheel trackpad issues, fairly common, they replaced the steering wheel and it is fixed.
Other things such as PAAK (phone as a key) and Android Auto are known to be on the to-do list, but likely below fixing a bunch more bugs.

For us after the service we are mainly just left with a bunch of spurious error messages, the odd piece of poor UX, some strange profile behavior... Most of which we get used to, and expect 20% of it to get fixed each month.

1a. Car does not support Phone-As-Key, and delivery associate should have told you that.
1b. Was the KeyFob not used at all during delivery? Our DA created a driver profile and connected the KeyFob to it for us, then set seat and mirror and squircle adjustments.
2. This happened once to us, in an edge case of a scenario. Best thing to do is exit the car, lock it with the key card, wait a few minutes, then unlock and it should just drive.
3. GPS failure sounds like a hardware problem, at least if the car has been outdoors for several minutes.
4. Car does not support dual phone, just one at a time.
5. Phone Contacts take a couple/few minutes to transfer over the first time.
6. The pads have multiple controls: buttons at the bottom, 5 click areas, plus swipe left to right on the left and up to down on the right. Are all of those not working?
7. I don't use voice control. It probably doesn't work if cell reception is non-existent.
8. Light cut off in the front dash while driving is a safety feature for night driving.
9. Our car was delivered with a 100% full charge, which meant that regen wasn't available at first. Gotta get that SOC down a bit.
10. No idea. the SS Pro is great.
11. Yes, known and DA should have told you. It, and CarPlay, are coming.
12. I don't use Spotify.
13. See #10
14. I found that conditions have to be just right for the car to learn from a remote. The manual isn't kidding about using new batteries in the remote. And see other threads where for the best location of the remote when having the car learn. Took me a few attempts, but eventually got it.

you....had the car for two hours and are regretting it? ok.....

It seems like a lot of the frustrations you are having is due to your SA not walking you thru how to use some of the features. Your first complaint, isn't an available feature on Lucid yet. They should have told you that. Some of the others, if they sat down and walked you thru set up for your keys and how to use all the features, you would have been much better off. The lighting turning off on the dash is designed to do that on purpose (safety). If you have a high SOC, you will not get regain braking to work, so you need to manually use the brake pedal until you get the SOC into lower 90s. No Android Auto or CarPlay yet either, your SA should have told you...

You have some legit concerns with call quality and a couple others (I don't use Spotify, but I've seen the Tidal app for example isn't necessarily the best implementation) but many of what you listed can be pretty easily addressed by spending time and learning the vehicle, reading the manual and maybe reading the forum or asking some people more familiar with the Gravity. Please feel free to post up and ask questions here (vs venting on issues that may be quickly and easily addressed with some knowledge).

Might be the source of the music. Spotify < Tidal. You can give Tidal a spin for 30 days for free. Tidal is so much better in music quality than Spotify. My 25 and 27 year old kids/men agree.

Braking. Every time I've driven the G I get the same message. Regen Braking reduced or not functioning.
This probably needs to change to an optional message. Basically, it warns you that it can’t regenerate anymore because the battery is nearly full or full. Which means that when you let your foot off the accelerator with regen on, it can’t slow down like you might expect since there’s no place to put that energy. It’s a situation that occurs all the time driving, but if you like strong regen it’s incredibly important to be warned about, yes?

I think the best time to buy a Lucid is after 2 years of their release hhhh, I am sure G will be a great car by 2028
my AGT has been a good boy so far. all issues I have had, have nothing to do with the car and more of user error

I share some of your frustrations. The key fob is miserable, had to replace battery twice in three months, with the most recent lasting three weeks in a faraday box (was dead when I got back from vacation). Almost three months in and homelink still doesn't work. Mobile service couldn't get it to work. Had to reschedule my appointment from December 16 and the only thing available with a loaner was in early February. Many of your issues are easily explained as pointed out, but some are definitely hardware flaws or software bugs.
