Does the Air have a Pedestrian Warning System? Asking for a friend.

Today I "snuck" up behind a couple with a stroller on our non-public road (no sidewalks). They were oblivious...

1) I rolled down the window and heard no sound coming from the car, and
2) The car gave me no indication it sensed anyone in front of me

Is this the way it's designed? Not saying it's wrong...just that I'll treat these situations differently if I know the car isn't waring people I'm behind
