OTA Update 2.7.0

I did not change it nor can I find anywhere on the software to change it although I have looked. Maybe you know how?
From owner's manual...

Ok .. I'm putting this out there ..I've been waiting for AA just like everyone else...but today I found myself turning it off and switching to Lucid native apps and maps...they're simply more aesthetic to my eyes and work just fine ...I....disabled ....AA...what a circle of life...
I have a feeling I may do the same. I've had access to AA through the Carlinkit for about a year now. But I only run it about 30% of my driving. The screens do look better in Lucid mode.

nobody ever listens to me

It’s funny to new that all these new AA drivers haven’t looked at nor heard a single thing CarPlay users have been discussing for a year now. Small overall picture? Check. Angled screen so it looked crooked? Check. And ultimately seeing people not even using it very much because the built-in apps provide a better experience? Check.

I only use CarPlay for phone calls, texts, and occasionally music when I want to listen to something not on my USB drive

I love it! But when I have time I must check about the volume limiter in Android 15. You have to get to Developer Options (7 clicks on software version on phone) to turn it off.

I know it’s been talked about, but I have to say it myself. The soft close door update is amazing. My drivers door never engaged consistently. But it’s also not just its ability to engage, but how it is triggered. They function like truly high end luxury car soft close doors now, every time. Bravo. Once I get a completely new key fob, I won’t need anything else. Though I feel like since the update the standard regenerative breaking doesn’t work too well in sprint mode. But I don’t drive in sprint mode often, so I may just not remember correctly. But either way, that’s a small quibble.

If I have to, I’d pay for a new fob. But I’ll wait patiently.

P.S. It looks that I can now wake up the car in the garage if it is connected to the WiFi, so I don't have any issues to complain anymore.
Spoke too soon. Still can't wake up the car when it's connected to WiFi.

I'm on wifi, wakes up from the app without issue. It's not always super speedy, granted...but it does wake up 100% of the time.

The other Very annoying & dangerous problem is that the car will not hold it's position when stopped. We have the brakes set on the "Strongest Regenerative" setting for single pedal driving & that did work superbly. Since the so called upgrade the car will not hold on any grade when stopped without stepping on the brake. That is not "One Pedal Driving". Unfortunately none of the other many software problem were corrected or even helped. 2.7.0 is a disaster for us.

This is something I've been curious about for a while. Prior to 2.7, did your car automatically engage the foot brake to hold the vehicle position? Or was the regen brake holding the vehicle position?

I hadn't done testing, but I'm pretty sure this behaviour changed in my vehicle after a service visit in Feb. I've never used the hold setting as I don't like the way the car automatically engages/disengages the foot brake. Prior to the service my car would behave as if it were in neutral when stopped, meaning it would drift even in the slightest grade hill. After the service visit it felt like there was more resistance when stopped, the car would hold position a bit on a slight grade rather than free rolling.

In roll, when stopped on a grade, the brakes will hold if the grade is opposite travel direction for several seconds (1 or 2) after the brakes are released. They do not hold if the grade is in the direction of travel. They do not hold if the brake is not used to stop the vehicle.
I use this when parking on a down grade. Reverse into spot, release the accelerator, car rolls forward while I bring the front in. Press accelerator to back into final position, press brake to stop and engage parking brake.

I know that it works for most people. That's why I am saying that the software is unreliable.

With regards the brake issue our car now rolls in either direction when stopped depending on the pitch of the road. I will try to reset the software if I can follow the instrctions but why did 2.7.0 change the settings we had?

Regarding "Wake Up" our car always woke up as one would expect until the OTA update prior to 2.7.0. Since then it will not wake up at all. Very upsetting & again why do these updates always change existing settings? I've had it with this vehicle!

Or it could be the ISP, your local DNS settings, or any number of other things.

Or it could be a bug.

Have you tried connecting the car to a *different* wifi network to see if you still have the issue?

I have. My other cars don't have that issue. And why would the DNS be an issue. I can connect to the car before it goes to sleep.

What now?

Did anyone figure out how to properly configure day/night mode to automatically switch based on the time of the day? Mine seem to be stuck in a day mode and blinding me during night driving. I can manually switch to night mode but then I have to switch again manually to day mode when its very bright outside. I don't believe it is Lucid issue but something with Phone and Android Auto configuration. Can someone confirm automatic mode works correctly for them and what settings did you use?

Borski, we do listen very carefully to all that you say. 😋

It’s just that we disregard most of it 😝
Just like my dog, it’s called selective hearing 😂
