OTA Update 2.7.0

I think they should go with the original layout and design philosophy where some of the controls where on the right. They moved the right controls to the far left because some people complained they could not reach them easily. After moving them, they realized the steering wheel was blocking them on the left and decided to move all the information to the right, creating 30% wasted space (relative to CP/AA window size) that could be used for CP or AA:

I *really* wish they would go back to the 'old format', especially since the major functions can be 'enabled' by a voice command.

I remember talking about this, when this update happened, to give the users an option to switch sides. No reply. :-( ... But I would think, an option on the pilot panel is possible & would help.

One unannounced improvement: the native Spotify app now actually loads my large Liked Songs playlist. Previously it would fail to load. The heart icon to "like" a song is now a checkmark, to match the other Spotify apps on popular platforms.

That being said.... As for Air, I still think the pilot panel would be a better location for both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
Apple and Google literally will not let you.

Also it was said that AA/Carplay couldn't be shown on the pilot panel due to them being required to be shown around the line of sight.
Not line of sight, but the highest display. If the upper panel didn't exist, *then* they could put it on the Pilot panel.

Does anyone know how to change the background color to BLACK???

Seriously no idea. Have you tried switching the display theme?

Hmm… It seems like the only option (for now) is to change your phone’s wallpaper to black-colored/themed image and enable the wallpaper setting.
Strange that can’t be set independently. Can do so on iPhone.

UI customization.. what a dream that would be! Hard computer science problem I guess.

Let me know if that works for you. I’ve noticed my wake time is much slower on WiFi than cellular. I’m thinking it’s because the garage is pretty far away from the router.
I don't think that signal strength is the issue. I have a mesh system with a pod in my garage and have very strong WiFi in my garage. I've been out of town for as long as I've known about the update and my car has been "waking up" for as long as I've known about the update. I don't know whether or not the update is available for my car, or whether I need it to wake up to find that out. But I don't recall having significant wakeup problems in recent months when not at home connected to WiFi.

Additionally, while my car is still not waking up, I can see that it downloaded 17.9GB of data yesterday, which is presumably the update. If it can handle that, I don't think the minuscule amount of data related to communication with the app would be an issue.

Noticed with this update that you will now get notified from the phone app (ios for me) if you leave your windows open and lock the doors.
Don’t think it’s this update. I’m still on 2.6.16 and got a passenger side front window open alert twice yesterday. I might add in error. The window was closed both times.

The car is woken via an SMS message. If your cell service is weak it will take longer to receive and wake. Once its woken if it will then connect to WIFI if configured.

Guess that explains why the designers/developers decided to overhaul the glass cockpit layout in Gravity...
Steering wheel not blocking the screen + place the frequently used buttons within the driver's reach to minimize the distraction while driving.

That looks like much better glass cockpit positioning. Wow.

Talk to Apple and Google. They do not want you looking down to access CarPlay or AA. This is not a Lucid decision, and neither is the rectangular viewport.
Thank you. It’s really exhausting hearing people complain about how “Lucid” implemented CarPlay or AA poorly when it’s actual a restriction of the platform by Apple / Google. I do agree with everyone saying it would be nice to have it fill the screen but that’s simply not an option. Lucid’s hands are tied.

Does anyone know how to stop the mobile app from serving the '(multiple) windows open' repeat messages when the car is parked in your garage, or, for that matter, if you just left the windows a crack open in a parking lot to allow some hot air to escape when the sun is blazing?

Interesting I got two of those yesterday while still on 2.6.16. First time ever I've seen them and my windows were closed. I drove the car and opened and closed the reported window and haven't seen the message since. But I'm wondering whether there's a bug in Lucid's back end system

My 2.7.0 update was only about 2.8GB. It could be that you are seeing a maps update, or 2.7.0 + maps.

I contacted Lucid about that this morning. Basic they suggested doing the button and break reset and if that doesn't work log in and out of the app. I have not tried them yet. But I will today
