OTA Update 2.6.16

I feel hesitant to bother the service people with something relatively minor. It would have been nice if there was a web site where you can file bug reports that are more of annoyances rather than showstoppers.
Let them triage. By not reporting it, you may be keeping them from fixing it for others too.

They’re fully capable of and good at triage. You can also report it to customer care.

Sending an email to customer care is the slow/low priority path.

I have the same issue with the car being able to drive. Once without any info, and three times erroneously thinking that the driver's door is open.

Additionally, I cannot wake up the car through the phone app. I have tried at many places where there is definitely cellular coverage. If I approach the car, the app works (probably over Bluetooth). If I leave the AC on, the car is responsive. Once I turn the AC off, I can't connect to the car anymore. The app is stuck at "Waking up".

The remote connectivity worked before the update.
It has been much, much slower to wake lately agreed.

First time charging since the latest update. It keeps starting and stopping. I checked the connections, nothing is overheating and our other car using the same charger has had no issues.

Tough for me to tell as I also got the recent Samsung UI7 update, but my doors have been hit or miss the past couple days with mobile and push to unlock.

Got the update yesterday for my ‘22 GT. I didn’t get a chance to check things out until this morning. Immediately, I got the Drive System Warning error message. I did the hard reboot but still there. I needed to take my wife to the airport in Phoenix so I decided to drive it anyway as it seems was operating normally. I even engaged Dream Drive to check it out. DDP seemed much smoother for the short time I had it on. Lane change seemed very smooth. Decided to call Customer Support before I left the airport. She asked if I did the hard reboot. Yes I did. She then sent a message to the Scottsdale SC and I decided to heard there since I was very close. I actually got to the SC before the Service Request came in. I talked to them about the issue. They have not seen or heard anything yet. They insisted I leave car just make sure I didn’t get stranded. Very accommodating as usual. I have a loaner and they will be in touch with me most likely tomorrow.

Here’s the update. It appears that the warning had absolutely nothing to do with the software update. Just a pure coincidence. It was a coolant 5 Port Valve that failed. Apparently not common. Luci is back in my garage. Great job all around at the Scottsdale SC!
I had the same thing happen. If I had to guess, they added or modified monitoring for that valve in this release and it triggered on some of the cars.

Exactly the same thing happened to me today. And as you said in another post I did in fact have to re-enable Bluetooth when I originally did the update.

What is perhaps noteworthy is that after the logo reset, Bluetooth was back on its own. We couldn't enable it by pressing the toggle, but after reset it's already on? Very weird... add it to the laundry list of bugs.

This happened again today, was hoping it was just a one off 😫

Not as frequent (or annoying) as the "can't drive" bug, but damn if I didn't miss a bunch of messages not realizing the Bluetooth icon wasn't lit up. Another logo reset.... this update sucks!

Today - a new bug since 2.6.16. The easy entry feature stopped working (the part that resumes sest's driving position after entering the car). Microphone/x/brake reset and leaving car asleep for 20-30 min did not fix it. I had to go into seats menu and recall driving position every single time I entered the car today. Has anybody else experienced that?

I just noticed that 2.6.16 changed my settings... Hold mode back to Creep, and my High Regen back to Medium. I was not happy when the car started rolling back when I put it in drive on an incline and it almost rolled into my garage door which was 2 inches away. Not cool. There needs to be testing this stuff before they release it.

Hang on… your settings normally stayed with your profile?

You might be onto something- I did not notice which profile was active and I had a fob in my pocket that I normally do not use. I wonder if it used my wife’s profile instead. Then I guess the question would be why are faces programmed if they are not used. Unfortunately I immediately changed those 2 settings so I have no way to diagnose now.

Facial recognition is supposed to be used when no key is present that is linked to a profile. Since you had a fob that, I'm assuming, is linked to her profile in the settings (which you could easily check), that would override the facial recognition.

(You can have keyfobs that aren't linked to a profile, but still work to unlock the car and drive; in such a scenario is when the facial recognition would be used)

This has happened to me and others with other updates.
Seems to be a random thing and not very frequent.
I've experienced only once in last 3 years.

Honestly I had way better luck with locking and unlocking and various other systems when I removed any profiles other than my own. My wife drives the car very seldom, and she can just move the seat manually.

Has anyone seen issues with valet cards being invalidated? Ours no longer works.

I think I am going to do that thanks. I did check with the fob I was using and it my profile is active when I have that and my phone in the car - as it was when I noticed the issue. Also only today my Units of Measurement setting reverted to Kilometers from Miles (speedometer) from yesterday so something funky seems to be happening. I think I'll delete my wife (don't tell her ;)) and only have one profile as she rarely drives the car (never to date)

Removing and adding the phone key (suggested by customer support) solved the "Waking up" issue.

So for the hold and creep issues that people have been experiencing since this update, did the resets work for you? I now have those issues. I have tried everything - turned on and off the hold and creep, Air logo resets (times 3) steering wheel resets (times 3) and nothing seems to work. Are there other suggestions from others who have solved the problem some other way? Or do I have to wait until some bug fix software update comes out?

Has anyone noticed much improved passive unlock? I can’t tell if it was after the update or possibly an iOS update, but it works much better than before.

It feels a little better but I’m also making more of an effort to “wake” my iPhone as I approach which I think makes it respond better.
