OTA Update 2.6.16

I haven't had any error messages after the update. All is well.

I don't have DDP but Bluetooth connectivity might be a boon. Any time I notice the mobile key being sluggish I always check my phone's Bluetooth devices and often see it isn't even connected to the car yet (when it works properly I've seen it connect from wayyyy across a parking lot).
Can we hope this means that unlocking will work better when using a phone as a mobile key?

Is anyone else noticing weaker regen braking after this update (especially at high speeds)?

Mi/kWh efficiency improvements are noticeable at low speeds, and I can tell the center cockpit panel got a few fixes that were not announced, the CarPlay navigation finally shows the street name and the power/charge “Speedometer” is much more responsive and smooth than the previous 2-3 OTA updates

AFAIK there is only one reset, which can be triggered either by pressing the Air logo or via steering wheel buttons.
The other alternative us a power-down (exit the car, lock it, wait for all functions to stop).
Yeah I wondered if the reset via the steering wheel and the reset via the logo were one and the same. Either way, the leaving the vehicle and coming back later didn't fix it and the logo reset didn't either, but the last reset for the steering wheel did, which may have just been a coincidence.

Got 2.6.16 installed yesterday. Luckily no disasters thus far. Don't see much difference in the car's behavior in general. However there is a new (and quite amusing) warning in the Dream Drive saying something like "your face cannot be recognized and therefore stop and go function is unavailable". Has anybody else run into this? *

*And a few disclaimers for the regular fan base: 1. Lucid is the greatest car/technology company. 2. Nobody ever promised that any updates will come within any specific time frame. 3. No competitor even comes close in terms of other features/characteristics of the Lucid Air. 4. The majority of fresh owners have never been through what the pioneer owners have, thus they don't have a right to complain. Did I forget anything?
I received the same error message about my face but it appears to have been very short-lived without any forced reset on my part.

One additional bug that I have noticed since this OTA is the misreading of the speed signs. It has read 75 mph speed limit several times both on freeways and city streets. Has never happened before that.

I installed the update last night in my 22 GT. This morning I got 4 camera fault warnings it keeps cycling through. Left camera, right camera, left pillar camera, right pillar camera. It cycles through them 3-4 times then leaves the triangle warning with exclamation point lit up.

I tried the Logo reset and it didn't help. Did the deep sleep when I got to my office and it didn't help either. I'll try the steering wheel reset tomorrow.

I did check the overhead view and all cameras were working and could still rotate the car around just fine.

Outside of the bugs and things, some positivey here:

Lane centering has been refined very very well, and it holds a true line through curves that's just nearly flawless. The only thing I've noticed is that coming out of the corner, it seems to overshoot most times over the shoulder line and then give a robust correction that causes a little ping ponging.

My efficiency does seem to have improved....dramatically. I will always take this with a wait and see approach. But for right now my GT-P 2.9 average lifetime average has been bumped to 3.55 over the last 300 miles. Same roads traveled as always. So that If maintained is absolutely incredible. We'll see.

Lane Change seems to be less "send ittttt" and more "slowly commit....then send ittttt" but overall less aggressive and just simply feels more natural and less like a robot programmed to change lanes all day long for the rest of its life.

Engaging DA seems to be requiring like 3 pushes before it comes on which never happened and is consistent now

Going into corners at a speed which the car needs to adjust not for lack of ability but for passenger comfort and safety has really smoothed out as well. No more slightly rapid speed drop to clunky figuring it out ping ponging anymore. It's like 50/50 confidence boost and smoothness boost.

Really enjoying the update this far. Hopefully Hands Off Soon

Check to see if you can use Drive Assist. I think a bunch of us had similar errors when the Lane Change Assist was first released and it required replacement of all the cameras.

They've definitely made some sizable under the hood improvements/changes which I think is indicative of the size of the update/time it took to install. I noticed this morning that the main cockpit display is much smoother now, with the power indicator in the center smoother and more importantly the left and right mirror cameras when turning are now completely smooth, whereas before the video was a little choppy. On top of that my cockpit display crashed his morning when attempting to put the car in to drive after entering, which was weird and interesting. Clearly there's some buglets with the changes, but I'm glad they're still polishing and improving the experience.

As others I'm also noticing the quieter front motor on the highway when cruising, which is nice and I assume part of the efficient improvements.

I'm enjoying the update as well. The lange change seems to be equally aggressive to me before / after. It initiates a little more quickly for me in my brief use and both the before and after change lanes on the highway a little more aggressively than I do. Overall, great update with many improvements (and the overall drive assist is so much better .. seems almost like a complete replacement of what was there).

Updated my Touring and so far no error messages.

Front motor sound appears to be the same.

Drive Assist improved especially going into a curve at highway speeds.

Hard to tell if efficiency improved as it is getting warmer where I live so that could also be contributing to the improved efficiency.

Updated yesterday afternoon. I've noticed a significant improvement in the front end whine and my efficiency, over the first 25 miles of normal driving, has gone from my average of 3.58 to 4.06. Significant. Looking forward to checking out what else has gotten better.
Had minor issues after the update but two resets seem to have resolved.

Thanks, Lucid!

Yes the efficiency at low speeds is noticeable. I got above 5 miles per kwh on a 10 miles street drive the other day. Crazy. I wonder if it is correct or if the “math” got improved. Haha

I got the DRIVE SYSTEM WARNING too after downloading 2.6.16 Remote diagnosis with help of Marqie found a COOLANT VALVE FAULT. Resets didn’t help. While exchanging texts with my service center 2 days after getting the warning and before ordering a tow to my service center, I went back to my car to make sure the warning was still there. Well, it wasn’t. Drove the car around town for a while and never got the warning. Car drove normally. The service center and I agreed to monitor the situation. We’ll see what happens today. Seems like it might be a software thing.
The initial evaluation of mine is the same Coolant Valve Fault. Since the Scottsdale SC has my car they will dig into this more today. Mine is a Feb. 22 build.
