That's one ignorant comment to make. The sky is falling especially for my case and several other users such as @Samo23 , @Bus Driver,@wa_lucid,@LucidDream#22, @crareman, @nashvillelucid , @geosynch, @A Fischman . So Please DON'T.

As I stated in my previous spelled out response. Precise location and background were enabled already. The only setting changed was Location : has to be set to "Always" versus "While Using the App" inside Lucid app location setting. The car will never sleeps overnight unless that particular location setting is set to "Always". The Lucid App queried my location 80 times over the night. 2.8.16 version made this change internally on their background processes.

I never want it to happen.

The current software configuration forces me to take my eyes off the road to get out of HA every time I'm on the highway and trying to engage AC.

This is a DANGEROUS software flaw. HA, if necessary for marketing, should be VERY DIFFICULT to engage, not the default.

HA should require a note from you mom.

The 4-way flashers should be on when HA is engaged.

I want to know who is not paying attention.

I watch the system very attentively and it's been a nice way to assist on long drives, at least until this latest patch. I would never depend fully on this system but when stuck in traffic for hours at a time the drive assist certainly helps me not get as tired.
 
2.8.16 is working fine for me thus far. I can't see any difference in the car.

Ya I never use it. I like driving.
 
On the last couple of updates I have an issue with my dream drive pro. It will do hands-free driving up until the first time I charge and then after that it's drive assist only. This is very disappointing because I count on this this on my 660 mile drive that I do every two weeks. Mostly on I-10 where hands-free driving should work all the time. Soft reboots don't help. Hard reboots doesn't solve it either. Anybody else experiencing this? I'm on 2.8.16.
 
Another data point, after the update 1) Lifetime energy metric: 3.95 mi/kwh, after update: 2.65mi/kwh 2) hands free driving: 'eyes on' sensitivity higher than before, was prompted multiple times to take control.
 
I was pleasantly surprised how much Hands Free had matured on my last road trip. While I still use analog driving for twisty or crowded roads, on long mind-numbing sections of the PA turnpike, hands free helps to reduce physical and mental fatigue. I equally enjoyed freaking my daughter out when she realized the car was driving without my input.
 
I forgot to mention that my efficiency after the update is at least as good as it was before. I'm still getting 3.6-3.7 m/kWh even though the weather has grown cooler

The only Robotaxi I trust is Waymo….Tesla doesn’t release all their data….wonder why?

Gov should give subsidies to develop this technology to help speed up research, testing and adoption. Think how many lives could be saved. There should be a uniform communication protocol among all vehicles. Pretty easy to do.
 
The latest update significantly improved “keys”….finally!

App still a bit slow, would like to see improvements there.

I'm a bit surprised that folk are seeing improvements in efficiency, and even more shocked at the numbers they are reporting. I have a lifetime (3yrs) average of 3.3 mi/kWh with biannual swapping between 19" and 21" tires and check tire pressures religiously. I generally drive like a grandmother when I am not driving like a teenager. I generally stay in the rt. lane with AC set to 5-10 mph over posted limits on limited- access roads.

Even with the winter A/S 19" tires I see reduced mi/kWh when it's cold..lately 2.8 mi/kWh. cabin (70 degrees F),seat and wheel heaters on. I did just check tire pressures and found them 2 psi low due to recent incursion of Polar Vortex (temps finally below freezing at night). Going to keep an eye on this now that there is such extensive lying here. Seriously, I do not believe the numbers people are posting. I think I got as high as 3.7 mi/kWh on the 19" wheels before it got cold, but never higher than that for more than a handful of miles. If you are posing over 4.0 mi/kWh it must be downhill with the wind behind you for not more than the length of your driveway.

I'm about to do an out and return on the PA turnpike to visit grandparents. It will be about an hour drive. I've just charged to 80% and checked pressures to 49 psi cold. It's about 36 degrees F and light winds. We'll see who's lying. On version 2.8.16.
 
Over my last 300+ miles, I'm averaging 3.68 m/kWh. AGT, 3,500 miles. Very little highway driving. I live in the mid-south. I drive mostly in smooth, with occasional head-snapping starts.

I gained about .2 m/kWh when I upgraded to 2.8.9.
