I have never used the FOB. We use the iPhone or the wallet card.
 
What l would like to know is how robust, on a scale of one to 10, people consider this, using the International Scale of Robustness

⚖️ Spectrum of Robustness (Least → Most)

My one quirk after install: my car’s regenerative break setting was changed so that it didn’t stop all the way and would roll if I didn’t hit the break. Like at stop signs and lights. I changed the setting back but… am I the only one?

Are you set to Creep? That’s how Cree is supposed to work but didn’t.
 
Has anyone noticed this update containing more 'ro' than 'bust'?

I think the setting is called vehicle hold. I’ll find the exact name in the morning. But that setting weirdly changed

I had the same issue. Deleting the mobile key, forgetting the Bluetooth connection on the iPhone, and repairing resolved it for me.
 
Well this 2.8.16 update just keeps getting worse. My car stopped waking since 2.8.9. Now it will not recognize my iPhone key, the mirrors usually do not fold when the car locks and most recently the car will not lock at all & therefore the lights remain on & fans or whatever keep running thus draining the batteries. 2.8.16 update was a BIG mistake. Talked to service & now have to head there in hopes for a fix they are unsure they can initiate.

This has been my experience as well. I did a fairly lengthy try of FOB alone, PAAK alone, and both together, and for me the FOB alone worked far better than the other approaches.
 
Update: DO NOT INSTALL 2.8.16.

Robustness my freaking buttocks 2.8.16! It is more like Robust-Less :(.

That miles per kWh is a one time unicorn result due to battery being warmed up via the software update. The next day I got a stinking 2.85 Miles per kWh over a 80 mile trip which is Significantly worse then my usual 3.15 average lately. What's worse is Proximity UNLOCK. Proximity LOCK is fine and works reliably.

The Proximity UNLOCK is regressing to failure levels experienced pre 2.8.5, 2.8.7, or 2.8.9. It is back to the age where I have to take the phone manually out of my pocket and open the APP if needed. You also need to allow background location to always on the iOS Lucid App or it will drain 2-3 miles overnight due to location query in which will result with a no-ack from your phone. This will cause the Lucid App to query your location 80 times over the night.

GOD or ROBUSTNESS is helping me now; the efficiency on my G.T.P. is WAY more realistic with EPA with a mixture of highway and city driving now! Look at those Robust Efficiency Numbers!

Extra FWIW : My scientific suspension butt-o-meter feels way more soft and relaxed now. I am not feeling a jarring impact over every uneven pavement undulation.

Charged the car night before loading update. It took 15 min like the app said, did a reboot. Went for a ride, and after 48 miles combination of city and highway my kWh is 2.4, before the update it was average of 3.8. This is not the kind of robustness I need. Wish there was a way to roll back to prior update.
 
I see your seeing the same Efficiency Impact as me! This is a pretty dramatic shift. I am wondering if those Fans going off like crazy during the software update had something to do with the motor or battery efficiency which might be due to strained heated condition and cooling condition during the install.

Did your iPhone proximity unlock also regress? Or are you using a KeyFob and/or Android Phone?

Zero issues with this update. Or any updates for that matter. Granted, I only got my car a bit over nine months ago, but I always wondered: am I just lucky?
 
Good News Update! Went to Natick SC this PM & the sales team were able to reconnect my iPhone & get the car working as it should. Now behaving the best it ever has since we bought it. Haven't tried the driver assist features but otherwise is fine. So many problems are now gone. Thank you Natick.

Sorry, I am using an Android phone and the Fob. No problems with using the Fob.
I had the same efficiency problem with an update late last year and was corrected with update 2.6.16, but 2.8.16 made it worse again.
