I applied this update today and drove to do some errands. I got back to my car after stopping in a store and it was unlocked; did I accidentally leave my iPhone in the car? No…

Made a stop at another store and as I returned to my car, I watched it unlock from about 25 feet away. I’ve NEVER had the unlock perform this well before. Very pleased with this update!
 
Great, another update we have to install blindly with zero release notes. /s

For those experiencing blank screens, I'm guessing this is intended behavior. I believe Lucid has attempted to "fix" various software bugs by having the system reboot on it's own more frequently. Therefore you're more likely to encounter the system during a boot cycle and get a delayed startup. Rather than fix bugs they're basically smacking it with a digital hammer.
 
Updating now and the (battery cooling?) fans are going at full blast. This is not reassuring. I could hear them down the street outside my garage.
 
Received it at noon, the software Took 17 minutes to install (I have CCCv2). Fans went crazy LOUD speakers on me and People were staring at me as if my car was about to explode.
Went on a trip from the Redwood City CA to San Jose CA.

GOD or ROBUSTNESS is helping me now; the efficiency on my G.T.P. is WAY more realistic with EPA with a mixture of highway and city driving now! Look at those Robust Efficiency Numbers!

Extra FWIW : My scientific suspension butt-o-meter feels way more soft and relaxed now. I am not feeling a jarring impact over every uneven pavement undulation.

I'm still traumatized by 2.7.0 bricking the car every morning. Took me weeks of monitoring the thread to actually try 2.8.9... maybe I'll try this one by Christmas.

Updated. No issues. Stopped at EA charger and charged up to 75%. No problems that I noticed. Android Auto worked normally for me. (It does crash a lot).

Initiated update from my phone. Got into car at home and the first thing running once I turned on the car was a Lucid gravity Ad from Lucid, then followed a notification about a website being unavailable....then everything went back to normal. At least for now, it all appears normal. For a quick second it raised hopes they had installed a browser independent of Andriod or Carplay like the Mercedes MBUX in my wife's car.....but it was for nought. So much for robustness

I'm aware, I'm just pointing out that you said much info could be found out about the release on the site, so i thought perhaps there was more.
 
No isues on 2025 Pure built 10/2024. I think I'm in the group of 225 recall candidates, and awaiting my letter.
 
No issues with the update.
 
How long does the install take if you have 2.8.5 software I would assume about an hour and a half

I have been having serious software issues after Android auto came in. I listen to music via Bluetooth(YouTube music). This gets automatically played when I jump into the car via Android auto. Now say if I use Spotify from the car, listen and after locking the vehicle and come back it switches to YouTube music. The worst of all, Spotify can't tell me which was the last song I played. So I have to search for the song and continue. Highly frustrating. also Android auto gets stuck. When I try to turn them on, it spins and after 10-20 secs the spinning stops and nothing happens. I constantly do a reboot(air logo long press) the system is still buggy even after 3 years. For a car that you spent 100k+, they should have done better, in my opinion.
 
Clearly the software team is under-resourced and is basically just trying to squash bugs at this point. I'm guessing it's two guys with a Radio Shack computer who flilp a coin to figure out if they fix Gravity or Air today. Lucid needs to wake up and resource this team appropriately. The heart of this car is the software and there are too many "known bugs" and lazy "robustness" changelogs. We can be Lucid fans AND acknowledge this. I'm waiting to buy their stock until I see more robustness is their back of house operations, finance, software, etc.

Why oh why was the phone key issue so easy for Tesla to fix -- with 8 year old hardware in my case -- but when I walk into the garage the door handles act like they are trying to get my vehicle to take flight? :)
 
Have had constant problem waking up my Lucid since 2.8.9. Had hoped 2.8.16 might help. No such luck. Tried soft reboot. Bluetooth reconnect & device reconnect on my phone with no luck & my wife's phone has same problem without attempting any reconnects. Can't blame this update but didn't help either.

Make sure your FOB battery is replaced every 6 months and remove your Mobile-Key phone-Bluetooth "feature".
