PDX Meetup Drive ... Out of Columbia Gorge (Hwy 14) up towards St. Helens & back towards PDX.

The twisties up Wind River was a blast; phenomenal passing power; massage at the end of the ride back home ... Bliss.

And lots of "What is this?"; "Lucid, what/who?"; "Heard it is better than a Tezzla"; "How many horses?"; "Looks and sounds like a spaceship"; "Keep it under 100. ..."

Carpe Diem

Greetings Portland/Vancouver area Lucid owners! I have a Lucid Grant Touring VIN # assigned to me and it's time for me to pull the trigger. So, I have a couple of questions that pertain to owning the Lucid in this area that I was hoping experienced owners would be willing to share answers to:

1. How has service been? Have you been forced to drive the car up to Seattle, or have the car trucked to Seattle, for service? Have they come down to Portland to service your car for warranty issues, and was that a long wait? Frankly I didn't really think about not having Lucid service available locally when I made my committed reservation, but I really want to avoid 6/7 hour round trip drives to seattle to get vehicle issues addressed.

2. How has the ride been on our local studded-tire-worn washboard freeways? One of the first things I noticed when moving up from California in the 90s is that the ride noise in my car on the freeway became much louder on all but recently repaved freeways. I quickly changed over to cars that were better at isolating road noise out, and it is something I pay attention to whenever I buy a car now. The Lucid I ordered has the 19s, which I assume would be the quietest riding tire option.

Thanks for any wisdom you can share here!

Service has been top notch. I have not encountered any major repairs as yet for them to truck it back to SEA SC. My friend's car was trucked back though. In my case, they came over to replace the rear window shade. And replace the fob batteries.

I ride 21s on my AGT. I had 20s on MS. Yes, there are roads that are more noisy But overall I consider the ride to be smooth - which is subjective.

Its a fantastic car. Enjoy.
