Enjoying the luxury of my new AIR as is the family. The lower, sporty drive and view is taking a little getting used to, but definitely makes sitting in hours of LA crappy roads much more bearable.

Some notes below. If any of you experienced users have some fixes I should try or think any are worth a visit to service center let me know. As with most, Im dealing with the same quirks and issues as many.

The car unlocking is hit and miss with the fob, or the iPhone, but now I know to push the handle in it generally opens. The fob wasn't working at all after a couple days but I changed the battery and seems to work sometimes.

The slow close generally works but at times randomly doesnt work and not any one specific door.

The audio would get softer at random times, whether playing Sirius or Spotify, but I think Ive narrowed it down to being connected to CarPlay as when I disconnect CarPlay and either dont have phone connected, or just connect bluetooth or for music, it works fine and there are no dropouts. It almost seems to turn the volume down expecting a command or for CarPlay to play some notification or say something, but it doesnt. Any thoughts or is it just a CarPlay bug?

I noticed the car recently reacted differently using one pedal drive and regen, not slowing as it was originally when I picked the car up. On reading, it has been a bit cooler the past few days, and the car has been charged so maybe this is normal?

A couple random messages, like tonight I had a front camera not working message or something, but it went away and I checked the cameras and saw them all so I dont know.

Anyways, if anyone have any suggestions please let me know but I feel most are software issues which will hopefully be solved in future updates.

Thanks all

Rub the battery with alcohol. It likely has a bitterant coating which interferes.

Get a Faraday pouch for your key fob if you continue to use it, else keep it AWAY from the car or put in in a metal can or fold a piece of Al foil over it.

The fob will try to talk to the car every time it's near enough ... even if you are in your home! This will drain the fob battery,
and slow the response time when you are hanging around the car = if you find the car waking up and flapping door handles when you don't want it, put your fob in a pouch, or turn off your phone app (it runs in the background= you may not realize it's talking to the car.

Or, use the phone app to access your car, which also can be fraught if you have the phone app "on" all the time. Both work best when approaching the car (I find approaching from the front to be more sensitive), rather than being near the car and then trying to unlock. I mostly use the key fob because it fits perfectly in the watch pocket of my jeans = I forget it's there and my door handles present when I reach for them. You will get used to it...it's not the same as "ordinary" cars.

I get this occasionally. What I found was this is often caused by interior fog/frost inside the camera housing behind the rearview mirror. When I put the front windshield defroster on, the "frost/fog" will remain inside the camera housing and this will be the last area to defrost and it blocks the camera. Once it goes away, the warning goes away as well.

All EVs lose some or all of their regeneration capability at high states of battery charge (north of 80%) and in cold weather. A few compensate for this by applying the friction brake pedal for you if electrical braking isn't available. Like most however, Lucid doesn't do this. The left side of the dash dial shows the amount of regeneration possible.

BTW, in general don't charge the car much beyond 80% on a regular basis. The 80%-100% range of charge is best left for long trips to avoid prematurely aging the battery.

Thanks for any advice guys.

Also today the parallel self parking wouldn’t see the open park in between 2 cars.

That happens sometimes. I would guess that this isn’t the final iteration of auto-park.

Ok and on the CarPlay issues and the audio repeatedly getting soft, it seems if you connect to CarPlay but have the iPhone switched to mute on the physical switch on the side, there aren’t the interruptions in audio in the car. Weird but seems to work….at the moment:)

Any recommendations for a lucid Faraday Pouch ? I have been considering this for the very reasons you state, besides I would really like my fobs to be invisible until actually needed.

Search for the word faraday; plenty of threads.

Also seems my car is on 2.3.1. It says it is up to date? Is this correct for a 2025 Air Pure I picked up last week or should I be doing something to get to 2.5.3?

I’d contact service. But the correct version number is most likely 2.5.0. 2.5.3 and 2.5.4 are fixes for specific problems only some cars have. So only some cars will get those versions.

We’ll likely all be put back on the same version when 2.6.0 ships.
