New Owner with a few questions for the experts

Just took delivery of my ‘25 AT this weekend. So far, love the car. But I have a few questions I can’t find the answer to on the forum and was hoping the experts can chime in.

1) Is there a way to set it up so that a PIN is required every time you want to drive the car? I actually appreciated this feature in my Model S and view it as a safety feature
2) Can a drive mode be set so that you don’t have to change it every time you get in the car? For example, I’d prefer to be in Swift mode, but the car defaults to Smooth. Can I set it up so that it’s in Swift all the time?
3) Is there a way to separately adjust the suspension and steering feedback aside from the Drive modes?
4) When you’re driving and the car let’s you know it can’t detect the key fob, is there a place within the car to put your key fob so that it can more easily detect it? Had this issue with my Model S and would just put the key in the center console, and voila!…detected.
5) When in Reverse, I’ve set the side mirrors to drop down, but it seems this is working intermittently. Any suggestions?

Not that I know of. Communication is Lucid's Achilles' heel IMO so we're in the dark most of the time. Other on the forum might know more.

4 - try changing the battery on your key fob .. I haven't seen that many posts about key not detected inside the car.

Kind of. If you use the keycard, it will require a PIN.

Nope. This is an EPA regulation re: testing; it has to be done in the mode the car will default to, hence Smooth.

Not yet. Lucid knows we want this though. No idea if or when it shows up.

In the gravity, there’s a dedicated spot for it. In the Air, it’s anywhere but the cup holders.

But it shouldn’t the complaining about that in general, and your battery is probably low.

It’s only the right one, not both, and it should work every time.

You can also drive the car using a PIN by just unlocking it with your phone app (with mobile key disabled), and getting in.

Unlikely. The other fob you’re talking about, I assume, is a classic “tap” fob, aka RFID/NFC.

The Lucid fob has an NFC chip in it and can be used that way too (if the battery dies, for example) but otherwise uses Bluetooth.

Lots of things can interfere with Bluetooth (other Bluetooth, WiFi on the 2.4ghz band, etc.) but not RFID/NFC.

Also, I had another thought - you could try unlinking the fob from a profile. Then the fob would still work, but it wouldn’t automatically load a profile. I don’t know if that would require a PIN, but you could test it!
