I just wanted to give a shout out to everyone here on the forum. Spending a few months here, prior to my final purchase decision and awaiting delivery, were invaluable in helping me establish realistic expectations about the car.
This includes tempering that pesky idealized sense of range and charging performance (especially in New England winters), but also in raising my expectations about how wonderful it would be to drive this car! Unlike most people here, I’ve always driven relatively modest vehicles, so both the performance and luxury aspects of the Lucid are brand new to me. Hearing all you raving about it got me even more excited about my Retirement Treat vehicle!
And even though most of the problem reports are edge cases, especially in the more recent builds, it’s been really nice to get a feel for troubleshooting some of that stuff—both commonly experienced issues, and the more dramatic on the road stuff that would be really disconcerting to go into fully blind. I probably went a little overboard in building up a couple of documents of “tips” and “troubleshooting” on various topics – but, if ever needed, those will become a good first source for me, before I dive back into wading through long forum threads.
So, thanks everyone. This is a fantastic community, and I very much appreciate the essential basic training I’ve received here!
