New Midsize Pic and Update

None of those vehicles offer three row seating and the fastback profile they all share significantly cuts into cargo room. Even a relatively boxy shape like my dad's Ioniq 5 suffers from a sharp backglass angle that prevents carrying a box much taller than the windowline. The cargo space becomes only marginally more useful that a trunk. And the third row doesn't need to accommodate six-footers for a cross-country tour, just enough space so that a few extra bodies can all drive together rather than taking a separate vehicle.
 
My wife loves her Ioniq 5 but she never drives far and maybe home charges once a week or 2 weeks
the range is only 240 miles which is fine for most uses but I wouldnt use it as a road tripper
it is also small compared the model Y- I'd compare the space to a Subarau Crosstrek
 
Volvo revealed their new EX60 and EX60 cross-country and I feel like its shape can give us some ideas on where midsize's design direction could go. Elements such as being lower to the ground for aerodynamic efficiency, while still maintaining a hatch for practicality. Not quite a sedan-level of low, but not SUV-height either. I wasn't impressed with how high up the passenger knees are in the Volvo EX60, I'm hoping that midsize has the battery footwell like what we've seen in the Air Pure and Touring for more legroom.

Seeing the EX60, I have a bigger gut feeling that this could be how the midsize lineup could go:
1. Road and urban-focus with emphasis on driving dynamics, roughly of similar size to EX60, BMW iX3, Mercedes GLC EQ, Tesla Model Y, Hyundai Ioniq 5, Kia EV6, etc. (Fingers crossed for a tri-motor Sapphire midsize with a winter tyre set! And a rear window wiper too!)
2. Soft off-roading to compete with the EX 60 cross-country, Ford Bronco / Bronco Sport, Subaru Outback, Hyundai Ioniq 5 XRT, etc.
3. Hardcore off-roading to compete with Jeep, Rivian R2/R3, JLR, etc.

Im guessing- soft off-roader like the Gravity, extreme off-roader and a track focused model
