Took delivery yesterday. Great car. However ACC nor Highway Assist will activate.

I have spoken to service a bit I am trying to activate correctly. But am getting no errors. Can turn on using the dream drive button this puts it to adaptive cruise control mode. I see the greyed out wheel speedometer logo with the current MPH Then I press the toggle switch (long bar in middle of up/down job). Nothing happens. Holding the dream drive button also does not switch to highway assist. No errors are being thrown.

Wondering if anyone has ideas. I have tried a 3 button reset with service on the phone. I have made sure no delivery stickers were on cameras and radar. Surround view cameras work. I live quite far from service center. So am hoping someone has a trick up there sleeve before I have to get the vehicle back to them to fix....

I had this happen while driving, unable to activate dream drive or cruise control (even though I had used it 2 min prior). Only fix I was able to work out was parking the car and walking away, allowing it to lock and go to sleep for a few minutes. Getting back into car and driving allowed cruise control and dream drive to activate again

Same thing here. It goes away after letting the car sleep. One thing to check: is the car & lane animation working in your dashboard? Whenever I had this bug, the animation was frozen as well.

Anyway, welcome to a love-hate relationship :)

IIRC that it can take several miles of freeway driving to self-calibrate when new.
It could be that service can pull logs from your car and diagnose remotely - might as well ask them.

So when I press the dream drive button on the top of my screen it says adaptive cruise. Whith this image. Never see any vehicles in front or anythign like that. Just my car with the follow adjustment lines.

But as you drive, and get closer to the left or right line, do you see the car in the animation following? Or it's stuck? Also, do you hear a bong when trying to engage Highway Assist?

To be clear, I'm just curious if it has the same symptoms as mine, aka we share the same bug.

No long bong when trying to engage. The only time that happens is when I try to engage and the car is parked. It bongs and says can't do this while in park.

I see red line animations when getting close to lines aka lane keeping assistant. which is working.

So it's not the same thing :( That explains the fact that it doesn't go away after sleep or reset. You might need to take it back.

I would get with service. You might have a sensor/camera that isn’t calibrated correctly or not working entirely.
Hang on, let’s make sure we’re doing the right process.

@dcopper what you had is the first step to engage ACC/DA. What happens if you then press the toggle button on the left side of the steering wheel “up”? That is what sets the speed for ACC/DA.

Separately, after activating ACC and on the highway, you *hold* the DDP button, it should switch to drive assist if you’re on a freeway.

If that doesn’t happen, and you have Dream Drive Pro, you need to get with service.

Yeah acc never turns on. Dropped at service today. Will keep you posted on results.
