Lucid Air Touring
Hi everyone — just joined the forum and wanted to introduce myself. I’m a brand-new owner of a 2026 Lucid Air Touring, and I’m absolutely loving the car so far. The driving experience, comfort, and overall quality have really impressed me.

I did want to ask if anyone else has been in my situation from a leasing standpoint. I leased my Touring, and then about a week later the Black Friday lease deal came out. Based on the numbers, that deal would have saved me about $185 per month. What really stings is realizing that, with the BF program, I could have essentially leased a Grand Touring for around what I’m paying now for my Touring.

I also completed the post-delivery survey they sent me and mentioned the situation. The representative who followed up actually said he understood why I’d be upset — honestly, I appreciated the honesty — but in the end nothing could be done. So I’m curious whether anyone here has had a different experience or found another avenue that helped when incentives changed right after their lease.

On a separate note, I’ve run into one issue with the standard audio system. My subwoofer was crackling from day one, and although it was replaced, the system still doesn’t sound as good as I’d expect in a car at this level. It’s really my only complaint so far, but I am surprised Lucid didn’t include a stronger factory audio setup. Would love to hear if other Touring owners have had similar issues or have found good solutions.

Overall, I’m still thrilled with the car and excited to be part of this community. Looking forward to learning from you all.

Thanks!

Sorry to hear that

I like to time my purchase and look for any major event coming, end of the quarter or any major news

Also, it is great idea to ask the sales representative of when you might have offers

at the end of the day lucid is electric car and the more it stays in the lot, the more it depreciates

If you think about it, in less than 6 months, the 2027 lucid gravity and air will be released which means they have to get rid of 2026 ASAP

Welcome to the forum and enjoy your beast. I know I do.

On the flip side of the lease, what would have happen if the lease numbers were higher than your current one a week later? It’s hard to predict what/when offers may come thru.

Beast is an understatement. 650hp wow I can’t imagine 1200hp Sapphire. Tesla owners pull up next to me and always want to show their muscle until I see them in my rear view mirror……..

You are in much better position than those who leased 2-3 years ago.

3 years ago I found myself in the exact same situation with Tesla, with them substantially lowering their lineup's prices, leaving me now with an over priced car. The unfortunate reality is once the paperwork has been signed and you've driven off the lot, the deal is done. As far as the audio goes, the standard system is straight up gutless. Have to upgrade to SSP to get decent audio, or look into going aftermarket if you want it to be better than that.

Received an email this morning from Lucid. End of year specials at all US Lucid studios this Saturday the 20th between 12pm and 6pm.
Quote " take advantage of our best year end offers including an end of year special of $2000 for lucid air and $3000 for lucid gravity"

i'm assuming this is on top of the already published incentives?

When buying or leasing a vehicle, I take the approach that the vehicle was a price I felt was fair at the time and was in the range I was willing to pay. Hindsight is great, but doesn’t change anything, which is why I decided to focus on enjoying the car. We purchased our 26 AT in September and would’ve paid less had we waited, but I’ve also been able to enjoy 5,000 miles in an amazing vehicle, saving a ton of money on gas and additional maintenance costs that we would’ve incurred during that time. Also got the options and color we wanted, which isn’t always easy when selecting from in-stock vehicles for the additional discount(s).

Precisely how I think about it too. If it seemed fair enough to me at the time, it doesn’t matter if it’s cheaper now. There is value in having it and driving it.

I posted the lease costs to demonstrate the incredible deals that lucid were doing in an effort to persuade anyone on the fence to go ahead and pull the trigger before year end.
It wasnt my intention to provoke any negative feelings in owners who had also bought the car at less advantageous rates. If I did I apologise unreservedly.

Totally stinks when something like this happens - as it has repeatedly with pricing before. But - if you are a lawyer, you knew the answer to your question before you even asked it - contract law and all. Don’t be disappointed now because there is nothing that can be done except for you to enjoy the hell out of your awesome car - you’ll forget all about the money in the long run.

Related - I used to be so focused on how much we were spending when I took my family on vacations that I oftentimes didn’t enjoy even going. My philosophy over the last decade or so is that I can always make more money, but I’ll never get that time back - and if you asked me now I couldn’t tell you how much I spent on any of them over the last ten years. It’s been way more enjoyable and less stressful, and definitely more fun for my family. 😉

You also save 3000 dollars in gas a year.

I am at 509/mo for 3 years on my Pure with zero down. If I can score a deal like yours in 2 more years I'll be all over it. Nice one!

For sure; I didn't read your post any other way.

With CA electricity rates, I'm not sure that's true. But even if it is, that's not why I bought the car.

In general, though, you're probably right.
