Lucid Air Pure
Thrilled with my brand new fathom blue stealth Lucid Air Pure. Learning a lot quickly about EVs in the real world after spending about a year reading up on different models. Lucid was my fantasy but didn’t actually expect to go for it (pricey, relatively untested company) but the test drive won me over. Also appreciate it being a US high tech startup (w/o any political baggage). Already took my first 200+ mile road trip and loved the driving experience. Still learning how to use all the car’s features and optimize range. Any tips for beginners will be appreciated.

Congats! Love the Fathom Blue Stealth Pure (I have the same)! Best tip I can pass along is to go to Discount Tire asap and buy the tire protection coverage for your very pricey new tires. It’s called “Certificates for Repair, Refund or Replacement” and will pay for itself upon first use.

Starting right out with the best car in the world?

welcome to the club

one of the weird things ... I was waiting at a long light and looking at the gasoline price sign across the intersection...
...
and realized I had not been in a gasoline fill-up station in almost three years.

then I drove my 90+ yo parents up and down the PA pike ( 4.11 kW/mi on 21" summer P-Zero @ 45 psi, 71 degrees F, ~ 50 mi )

came home

plugged in.

good night to all
and to all a good night

Beautiful car.
Awaiting my Gravity…currently driving a Tesla Y. My top tip, learn to love one pedal driving. It doesn’t take long to master and is SO NICE.
Also pay attention to how your driving affects range. EV range varies a lot more that ICE range depending on temp, speed, heater usage etc. My rule of thumb for roadtrips (interstate, high speed, only charging to 80%) is to only expect to get 50% of the cars rated range between charging sessions. I.e., my Model Y is rated at 300 miles, so I expect to get 150 miles between charges on a road trip, which is about right. If you have reasonable expectations you won’t get caught off guard.
Enjoy that amazing Air!

nice choice, if I did it all over again I might pick fathom blue with the stealth option
