Minimizing the Dashboard UI while Driving?

I just started driving my Lucid Gravity Dream Edition and I'm loving so much about it.

I'm looking to minimize what's displayed on the beautiful 30+ inch dashboard screen while I drive.

I have found the Zen option on the left side of the dash, which is helpful, but are there any options for the right side of the dash which has the Home, Music, Directions, Phone widgets?

I'd love to minimize those but can't seem to find anything in the manual to do so.

Any tips would be appreciated.

Used to love the black dash of my SAAB… if the status of normal dash gauges needed to report something they would light up… and shortly fade out again… generally only speedo up full time.

Maybe that’s why the right cockpit and pilot screen just go black sometimes. Testing for full zen mode…

It's a new Sanctuary mode called "Screen Detox"

You're close on the "detox".
The feature is supposed to be called "Digital Detox".

I wonder if the currently inacxtive Zen option that appears in the left Cockpit Panel along with the dynamic efficiency widget, tire pressure info, and trip info will be another way to enable Digital Detox/Zen Mode.

Seems possible especially if the feature previously known as Digital Detox may be called Zen mode.

I am sure it’s possible, but the number of folks who want that feature has got to be tiny compared to PaaK, CarPlay, more stable software, etc.

Also, that feature is not available on a Tesla or a Rivian. I think Lucid is running hard at feature parity (Sanctuary aside) or meaningful differentiation (CarPlay) , so I don’t see a full Zen soon, but it sounds much easier than other “features”, so who knows.

Also LOVED Saab’s red lighting at night. So much easier on the eyes.

And then there’s me who wonders why the glass cockpit can’t be bigger and why the pilot screen isn’t a 20” display!!!

I want to feel like I am in an IMAX theater when I drive.

Haha yeah, if that’s the case, we could not have more opposite desires. I have ADHD; I tried driving an EQS and even if I’d liked how it drove (I didn’t), it was just absolutely infuriating to be in lol. The hardest vehicle I have ever had to drive. Just… too much going on, lol.

And this is why I’m glad there’s competition and I’m glad Gravity will have a Zen mode

I know at least @LucidDropkick is also really excited for Zen

So if we're talking order of priority with features, then absolutely Paak is way above Zen mode; 100%.

Zen mode being much easier than other features? Yep.
As another member posted, we kinda already have a pseudo Zen mode with cockpit blackouts.

I received one of the first Model X refreshes back in the winter of '21, and it had a particularly bad issue where the infotainment system would get itself into an unstable state and crash randomly. This was about once a month so it was hard to diagnose and fix, but the kicker was that when it did crash, it'd emit this loud beep (7–8 volume-wise out of 10 on that car), which would go on for 20s and then go on-and-off throughout the rest of the trip, only stopping when we let the car sleep overnight and hard shutdown/reboot the system entirely. It was so bad that when my wife drove the car once and it happened to her, she almost lost control of the vehicle and crashed. Tesla eventually did replace the entire MCU, once I recorded like 4 videos of it happening.

So that'd be the anti-zen mode.

* Not everyone on the development team focuses on a single bug or feature. The team can do more than one thing at a time.
* Bug fixes and feature work gets triaged and scheduled.
* We do not have sufficient visibility into the triage and scheduling process to predict relative order of features and bugs...and that's a good thing. Bosses micromanaging a team is not good for overall health and productivity of a software team. Imaging multiplying that by the chaos of an Internet forum.

* We do not have sufficient visibility into the triage and scheduling process to predict relative order of features and bugs...and that's a good thing. Bosses micromanaging a team is not good for overall health and productivity of a software team. Imaging multiplying that by the chaos of an Internet forum.

I don’t disagree and understand as I’ve managed multiple dev teams (thankfully, no more as I couldn’t stand the “why not now?” attitude from the business side)... I also understand they do prioritize, schedule and probably run some sort of “agile”process. And they likely have team “insert name” on one feature or set, another team on fob, etc. As you said, no insight into their set up and that’s fine.

You can’t do everything for everyone and stability and “basic” features would, I think, be priorities if the composition of teams allows for it.

That said, I could have been more clear. There’s definitely prioritization and minimizing UI and a Zen mode isn’t in my personal top 10. Also, dev teams can get moved at times depending on severity of issues or prioritization. This requires/expects knowledge share and base knowledge across teams, which may or may not exist at Lucid.
