For those who have been following/using LucidTracker, the Pro tier (LucidTracker+) is now open at https://lucidtracker.app/plus

I'm doing a soft launch so I can monitor the system closely in production. There's a small group of early subscribers on it already, and things are running relatively smoothly, but I'd rather catch any edge cases with a smaller group than scramble later. So far 2355 trips, 32,184 miles & 572 charging sessions have been tracked across multiple countries.

What LucidTracker+ gets you over the free tier:
  • ~60 second sync interval
  • GPS trip tracking with route playback, road-snapped paths, and full per-trip stats (energy used, efficiency, cost)
  • Automatic charge session detection with kWh added, peak rate, average rate, and home charging cost based on your utility's TOU rates
  • DC fast charge burst polling (15-second intervals while actively fast charging) to capture the full charging curve
  • Per-trip and aggregate stats, charge history, and a few other things I'm still rolling out
What you're using today remains free and always will, this is aimed at those who want to further deep dive into their vehicle(s) and not have to spin up their own infrastructure to do so.

It looks great what you did there.
Is there an API you get those numbers/data etc. from?
I am using Tronity over in Europe for all our EVs, however, Lucid is apparently not possible to connect the support statet.

I even opened a Thread about it. https://lucidowners.com/threads/tronity-not-possible-due-to-missing-3rd-party-api.15836/

I know it would be "competition", however I would like to know how you retrieve the data if possible. If there is an API or some sort.

Fabulous tool! Shows me information on my own car and compares to others on the site! Well done!

It's built on top of nshp's python-lucidmotors library, which handles the gRPC bindings to Lucid's API. My proxy fleet wraps that with auth/session management, multi-user orchestration, rate-limit handling, and the streaming infrastructure that powers LucidTracker+. The site on top that handles trips, charging analytics, GPS snapping, etc.

Very classy, @HC_79 , very classy!

Yeah it looks great! Definitely, sad that Tronity is not using it but ok, once I would have the lucid I would then go for lucidtrack :D

(That’s @segbrk and I, fwiw, so if anyone has issues with the underlying API library, please let us know!)

I sent over some Gravity enum values that might be useful

@HC_79

I will do a test drive next week 16.06-18.06, is it possible to connect the demo drive also to lucidtracker? Or are demo drives limited somehow?
It will be a gravity touring (no gradn touring available)

🚗 Trip Tracking — Big Improvements Just Shipped
I've overhauled how LucidTracker+ records and maps your drives.

Highlights:

📍 More accurate trip maps
Drives through parking lots and plazas were getting drawn with weird right-angle "staircase" paths because the underlying map data doesn't include parking aisles. Trips now detect when you're off mapped roads and draw the real path you drove, cleaner maps and more accurate trip distances.

📏 Better distance & energy accuracy
Fixed a class of trips where the map-matching was under- or over-counting distance. Trip distance, energy used, and efficiency now line up much more closely with your odometer.

🔁 No more duplicate trips
Squashed a bug that could occasionally record the same drive twice. Your totals and leaderboard stats are cleaner for it.

🛠️ Smarter overnight repair
The nightly job that cleans up any trips that didn't map perfectly the first time is faster and now prioritizes your most recent drives, so anything that needs a touch-up gets fixed sooner.

⚠️ Fewer false "missed trip" alerts
The "a trip may not have been recorded" banner was sometimes flagging drives that were still in progress. It now waits until you've parked, so it only surfaces genuinely missing trips.

⚙️ Under the hood
A lot of behind-the-scenes cleanup to make the whole trip system faster and more reliable as the platform grows, including reducing background load so pages load more consistently.

As always, your trip stats (distance, energy, cost) are calculated from your odometer, so the accuracy of your numbers was never affected by the map display. Keep the feedback coming, several of these fixes came straight from your reports. 🙏

I love my LucidTracker+ membership. It is worth every penny. I like that I can enter my own TOU electric rates and those are added to the charging history to get a cost of the charge. I also like that the trip logs can be downloaded so I can use my spreadsheet to classify them.

The only charge that I am missing was my first DCFC at an EA location that was free. I did not write it down, unusual for a guy that has logged every tank of gas he has purchased over the last 20 years. This is a learning curve switching to an EV.

The only thing that puzzles me is that the car reports battery_health_level: 95.0, but your computation estimates it at 91.4.%. Will that estimate change with more data? How does this compare to other 2023 ATs with 18943 miles?

Thanks again for the hard work.

@HC_79 was wondering how are trips measured? Does a quick stop during which car goes to sleep, splits it? I did about 276 miles non-stop drive back on Jun 25, that somehow got missed, or split I think. Just watched Notch EV video, where Cyp did a whopping 389 mile drive from Maine to NYC (he says it was Jul 5), that trip surely must be on leaderbord's pedestal, but I don't see it there. Probably you fixed it with your release today is my guess

I did some digging and something did go wrong.

How trips are measured? A trip starts when the car shifts into Drive, and LucidTracker+ streams a GPS point every ~20 seconds. A trip closes once the car has been out of Drive for about 3 minutes. So a quick stop like a red light, a fast errand etc., won't split anything, but parking for a few minutes, plugging in to charge, or the car going to sleep ends that leg, and a new trip starts when you drive off. Charging always ends a leg by design as energy and efficiency are calculated per leg, a mid-leg charge would corrupt that math. Distance is odometer-based, with the GPS route snapped to roads for the map.

Your 270+ mile trip got cut short by a GPS stream drop during the trip. The trip closed there at ~157 miles and the final ~115 miles went unrecorded. I found the missing segment in your vehicle's telemetry and restored it, check your Trips tab. It shows as a reconstructed trip (no route map, since the GPS stream wasn't running), but the distance, battery, and energy figures are exact from your car's own odometer and pack readings.

I checked Cyp's 389-mile Maine→NYC day too, and it had the same issue, twice. Two segments dropped mid-drive. I've restored both, so his full 389 miles are now in the system across five legs with charging stops between them.

Why it's five legs and not one 389-mile trip? That's what the Road Trips feature is for (LucidTracker+ → Trips → Road Trips). You group your legs and the charge stops between them into one named journey, it rolls up total distance, drive time, charging time, kWh used vs. charged, and overall efficiency. A big travel day is legs + stops stitched into a single road trip. The leaderboard currently ranks individual legs, which is why a multi-leg day never shows as one giant entry, but I'm considering adding a trips-based stat (think longest day / longest road trip) to the leaderboard in the near future.

@HC_79 oops! Somehow with this update it seems to have lost my 255mi single leg again, that you had fixed a couple weeks ago.

Fixed, was a filtering issue. The bad news is, you've been booted to 4th place.... :p

The Gmail connection login doesn’t seem to work. It’s held up after logging in and selecting the Gmail user you intend to login using at the spinning wheel screen. And when I try to login with the create a new account using my Gmail it doesn’t allow me saying a user with this email already exists.
