Air GT
Just took delivery of my new AirGT and ordered the Charger - - my uncle is a certified electrician and is going to install everything for me. Since he's saving me considerable $$, i'm trying to make life easy on him and have all the parts ordered and ready when the charger comes and he is able to come.

The most expensive material is the wire, so i want to get it right. The installation instructions say to use #2 AWG wire, but something doesn't feel right to me. When i search for that on Lowe's or Home Depot, i get something like this, with a single conductor: https://www.lowes.com/pd/Southwire-...d-Black-Copper-THHN-Wire-By-the-Foot/50101586

Is that right? it seems odd... so should i be getting something like this, with 3 wires + ground wire, referred to as 2/3 wire: https://www.wireandcableyourway.com/2-3c-mc-cable-aluminum-armored-metal-clad-cable

TIA - Appreciate any help!!

Judging by your comments, I think you may be over your head on this.

If you uncle is "a licensed journeyman" electrician LET HIM PICK AND GET THE CONDUCTORS. It's his license on the line. Have him size and get it and buy him a case of wine and dinner. Call him before buying A THING!!!

The southwire 2 g copper is excellent wire. In my opinion, which is worth what you pay for it, DO NOT USE ALUMINUM. YES, IT'S HUGE, but you are installing a EVSE that has the amperage of some whole house service panels.

THE Lucid EVSE box is 80 Amp charging rated, meaning the wiring must be 100 Amp Rated, like 2 guage. (20% down rating for continuous duty). I would install separate conductors in conduit. I repeat, ask your uncle.

I was an electronic engineer. I have wired many setups for friends. I never appreciated my friends buying stuff, on their own, for the install UNLESS I gave them a list. Your uncle with thank you. And will love the wine.
