Lucid will not offer heads-up display on Gravity GT (for now)

It's back in the configurator for the Gravity GT with a Fall Availability notation...
I believe this is exactly how I recommended they handle this in a post yesterday over on the “Gravity Delivery Discussion” thread.

Imagine if they had done that to start!

And, honestly, aren't most GTs going to be "Fall Availability"? How many of these is the new line prepared to build per month?

I see that my existing order has been changed back to include the package with HUD for fall availability. I'm not sure if it was automatic, or if my SA had to make a change to restore it.

Maybe this was planned all along just to “fill up” the DE pipeline so they could sell 425 DEs, thus maximizing revenue.

Originally the plan was to deliver GGT as the first Gravitys. Apparently now the DE will be the initial 425 units then the GGT.

450 Dream units, the EPA range of the longest-range version.

Funny how this thread turned out.
When I started it, all I did was post the email I received from Lucid — with zero commentary. Just the facts. The email simply stated that the HUD would no longer be available on the Gravity GT, and that if I still wanted HUD, I could upgrade to the Dream Edition. If I didn’t, Lucid would lower my price by $2,600. Straightforward.

In my next post, I shared that I was honestly torn on what to do — I really wanted the HUD option. Again, no attacks on Lucid. No soapbox speeches about their decision-making. Just a personal dilemma I was working through.

But wow — the reactions.
Some jumped to conclusions. Others went straight to criticizing Lucid, their employees, their decisions, even how the email was written. It turned into a pile-on.

Guys — we have to stop being so sensitive, so quick to criticize, and so negative.
At the end of the day, this was just a decision I had to make: accept the change or upgrade.
That’s it.
I honestly thought — Lucid probably had a good reason for this. Oh well, what’s my next move?

Let’s stay focused and keep the passion positive. We’re all here because we believe in something special.

Pivot to the Touring model? Strip down the GT but have the larger pack and call it a Touring+. (I know probably unrealistic but is it?)

Anyone who buys a GT now and then finds out later if you waited you could have had a HUD would be upset if the HUD kicks ass. Assuming the HUD really kicks ass like we all believe.
Realistically, with technology steadily moving forward in EVs, it's pretty much guaranteed that you're going to be disappointed that you don't have some newer, cooler vehicle/feature after you've purchased a vehicle.

I think it's much better to think about whether you feel you're getting value for money with the vehicle you're considering purchasing.
