Lucid test drive event in Tysons Corner

Had 10:00am first drive in Tysons with wife this morning. Agree with folks who said go early or stay after to play with Gravity in studio. Plenty of time for that. Don’t mess with infotainment, etc while driving. Just pay attention to drive. That said, studio Gravity is in studio mode so some options don’t work. As others noted, HUD not working, sanctuary, etc.

Well organized, on time, actually knew answers to most questions, etc. Quick thoughts.

1) After two minutes behind wheel, wife immediately said “they fixed everything I didn’t like about the AT”.

2) Incredibly responsive and smooth. Very refined. U Turns are super fun. Incredible at turning.

3) Magically huge inside. We parked our X next to the Gravity in the garage. Effectively same length, X is a bit taller, (specs are all public) but Gravity is HUGE inside. Second row seats are awesome and so is third row…

4) Legit third row - we have an X and an R1S all with three rows. My kids are not tall and complain about both. I easily sat in third row next to a taller guy who was 6’. Plenty of space. Order of magnitudes better than our X and R1S. It IS actually useful and very easy to get into.

Fwiw, this depends; it wasn't working the first time I went to the Valley Fair studio, but the second time both HUD and sanctuary mode worked in the studio car. YMMV, I think!

Got done with my test drive today. Went in early to ply around with the floor car when they opened at 10, and my drive wasn't till 11:40 and was just going to go back to my hotel but someone didn't show at 10:20, so they let me take the slot. Drive honestly was too short and boring to get any kind of feel for it. I did however feel that the squircle will be fine for me, as I wasn't too sure of that. Nothing new to really offer than what others have already said. Other than that, playing with car was FAR more informative for me. It just feels so laid back luxury like...I'm not sure what that means.😂 it's just not in your face like the Escalade I've been looking at but just very quiet kind of classy. I like it tremendously! The massage seats, oh my lord they had to pry me out as I about melted in the comfort of them. This is going to be a 10 out of 10 vehicle and somehow even more excited to get a hold of it!

My wife was all about sanctuary mode. She joked about just sitting in the garage with it on and taking a nap.
