Lucid Issue with Free 3 Year Electrify America Charging - Air Touring Ordered March, 2022

Good question and thank you for your suggestion to check. I had forgotten all about that. My app does say that I have 3 years of Free Electrify America service, effective 3/26/23 (date of delivery) to 3/26/26. One would think that Lucid’s internal records would confirm this and that Customer Care would be aware of this. Honestly, my Customer Care person was not very helpful or considerate. He simply kept telling me that I only qualified for 1 year of Free Electrify America, which was getting me more and more frustrated and upset. He didn’t seem terribly interested in pursuing the matter on my behalf, which was quite disappointing. I tried asking for a supervisor, but was told that no one was available for me to speak to.

Assuming you are using the IOS app, click on the 3 lines on the bottom right of the iPhone screen. Then choose Lucid Charging Service....Then choose Service Summary. Scroll down to the Service Dates and you'll see your "free" EA service period. Hope that this helps!

I purchase a Pure in January of 2024, I had a deposit from February 22. I have been getting free EA charging. When I check Service Summary I see:

As long as you’re willing to pay a “surprise” bill for the charging, I wouldn’t say anything and just see how long “free” charging lasts.

I was told at purchase I get one year free. So far (9 months in) it's been free. Not sure how I'd get a surprised bill I don't have an account with EA.

Don’t mean to disillusion you but have you read the terms and conditions of the Lucid charging service? Lucid reserves the right to retain your credit card information and charge you. I didn’t give them my cc info for this but I did for my deposit on my Air Touring. I have three years per the verbiage on my Lucid app. If for some chance, after the three years, can still plug and charge for “free”, great! But I don’t think I could argue successfully if they did back charge me in this situation.

Mine was purchased in July and app looked like this and EA was working. However as of last week, app shows 1 year free or 1000kwh. Hope it will be show up for you in the near future as well.

Lucid does not have my current cc information and neither does EA. I expect to get the free charging until 1/6/25 (as per my original purchase agreement, even though that is not listed in the app.

That's strange. Not the cc info for Lucid or EA, but the lack of listing in the app. My app lists the start and end dates for complimentary charging. I only have six months left. 😢

I'm also not limited to 1000 kw-hr since I've used twice that in the 9 months I've had the car.

Interesting. I'd like to see if anyone has actually been denied or charged following the "expiration" of the duration or the kWh limit of the free charging offered.
