Lucid Investor Day - March 12, 2026

Hopefully, they will demo a working prototype of the mid-size and UX 3.0 for Air. Probably also the Uber/Lucid/Nuro robotaxi in operation. That would be a great day for Lucid, Lucid owners, and probably Lucid stock (if all goes as planned.

The announcement does include its autonomy strategy, so fingers crossed we'll see something interesting on that front!

A while back Rawlinson said he'd signed off on the work to achieve 6 miles / kwh efficiency. I wonder if Lucid will reveal during the investor day whether or not they achieved it. Fingers crossed they do

I care more about what engineers and scientists have accomplished than what markets think
 
My prediction:

I expect this to be similar to the model y, but better in every way except FSD and user interface (for now). More range, more space, more comfort, faster charging, better performance, higher quality materials.

Also, while pricing won't be announced, I'd expect it to ultimately align with current Model Y pricing of $49k/$57k for the premium/performance trims, give or take $5k.
 
Lucid's thunder is probably going to be stolen by Rivian on Thursday

No doubt.... When reviewers talk about exciting upcoming EVs, I still have yet to hear anybody mention Lucid's midsize. A lot of talk about R2, EX60, iX3, etc. Seems like everyone has forgotten about midsize :(

Lucid hasn’t shown midsize. Rivian has shown the R2. Pretty easy to forget something you haven’t seen yet. :)

I have no idea if midsize is going to make waves, but that’s what they’re banking on; but it not being as talked about yet makes a bit of sense, since nobody’s seen it yet.

There's also the possibility that the combined effect of both could drum up even more interest. In terms of generating more clicks, for example something like "Rivian R2 revealed!" versus "Rivian R2 versus Lucid Midsize, who will win?!", I think the latter could get more clicks. Perhaps something like a Barbenheimer phenomenon. Only time will tell.

Exactly what I was going to to say. R2 pre-release first drive videos have been out for several weeks. I think Lucid can make a big splash if the price is right.
