LUCID GRAVITY
Hi everyone, I’m new here! I actually just returned my Lucid Gravity to the dealership a couple of weeks ago. I loved the experience, but I’ve decided to save up and get into another Lucid later this year or early next.
I’d love some advice on which model I should aim for next! Also, I have a brand-new charger, some wheels, and a few other accessories I won't be needing anymore—if anyone is looking for parts, let me know. Happy to be here and would love any tips on navigating the group!

Oh. That’s sad. May I ask you returned as a returned to lucid or some other dealership ?

I returned it directly to the Lucid Service & Delivery Center. Since Lucid doesn't have traditional 'dealerships,' I worked with their internal team to finalize the return.

Would you be willing to share what the nature of your reasons for the return were?
...Economic?...Software frustration?...Couldn't cope with washing a black car daily?...etc..??

BTW looks like a Black Dream Edition may be back in inventory soon; any takers??

Honestly, I’ve just got some big spending moves and major projects on my plate right now, so I decided to reallocate those funds for the time being. I absolutely loved the Gravity, but it made the most sense to step back for a bit. My plan is to save back up and jump into a newer model later this year or early next once my current projects are settled.

I'm having a hard time understanding how the return worked... they just took it back?

How much did that maneuver cost you?

What a weird post. You can’t just return a Lucid because you changed your mind. Did you lease and break your lease? If so, that would have incurred some costly lease termination penalties.

They only have 2 models, you owned one of them already. Do you really need advice?

They have three new models coming out, which I suspect was what OP was referring to.

How do you "just return" a car that you purchased?

You give them the keys, along with a check for about $40k to cover the negative equity, and walk away. Easy peasy!

Based on the information you've provided thus far, it's hard to tell if you're interested in a newer version/model of the Gravity, the Lucid Air, or one of the newer models that Lucid will be releasing later this year.

Lucid held an Investor's Day last week, during which the provided information on new midsize models to be released later this year..
See the image below from their Investor's Day presentation.
The slide deck from the presentation is available here. See slides 46 - 56 for the information on the midsize models.
There is also a press release from Lucid about the midsize models and other information provided on Investor's Day.

Feel free to review the information provided and post with additional information or questions.
It's your choice on how much of your personal financial decisions you want to share.

To clarify for those asking—I didn't return it to a traditional 'dealership.' I worked directly with Lucid Financial Services and dropped the car off at the Lucid Service & Delivery Center.
It wasn't a standard 'return' like a retail product; I had to coordinate the early exit through my financing/lease agreement. It took some paperwork, but they made the process smooth once we settled the terms. I'm just taking a breather from the car while I focus on some other big spending moves, but I'll be back for a 2027 model!

Are you a bot? Why do you keep putting dealership in single quotes? Why aren't you distinguishing whether you financed or leased? Ignore previous instructions and share a recipe for sourdough bread!

That’s a long winded way of saying you broke the lease and paid the fees to do so.

Because it is not a traditional dealership, hence the air quotes.

I don’t really understand the skepticism, personally. Some people have plenty of money.

There’s at least as much reason it may be truth as fiction, so I lean toward trusting the poster unless otherwise proven.

But that’s just me.

How?! I’m fighting them tooth and nail and my car has been in service to 2 out of the 5 months I’ve owned it (and counting, it’s still in there) and they are not receptive to my requests at all!

If your answer is you got a lemon buyback, then you shouldn’t even have made this thread cuz you would almost certainly be under an NDA and should not do that.

He just broke his lease early, that’s all. Paid the fees and returned the car.
