Google sells everyone’s data to the highest bidder. They are among the worst. We are their product. Cadillac just thought of this example first, but know that when you log into GAS, you lose all control of your drive data.
 
The new update seems to be getting great reviews on Twitter. Anyone having similar experiences?
 
Per the Owner's Manual under DreamDrive Sensor and Camera Calibration:

"For optimal calibration, it is recommended that this calibration be done during daylight hours in the middle lane of a straight multi-lane highway with little to no traffic around the vehicle."

Uh, okay.

Anyone know where to find such a road for a half-hour stretch of driving?

My advice to Lucid is that driving feel and efficiency under DD might be improved slightly by adding a 5Hz lowpass filter to the accel/decel commands. It'll still be faster than a human.

I noticed that also on my last trip and did an experiment that was too uncontrolled to post here, but the result was I could get ~.6m/kWh better cruising on flat desert @70 than DD. There were to many variables, wind elevation etc. but I've noticed it on several occasions. Maybe this update will help?

You'll notice that Google no longer uses the phrase "do no harm" in any of their marketing (which they used to do in the early days, but once they bought doubleclick and figured out how much the data collection was worth they quickly dropped the "do no harm" phrase)

I agree with the horn honk version but a quick little chirp like my wife's Taycan isn't quite so obnoxious
 
Just took my first drive after the update, the door handles were super responsive on both drives, the HUD has improved now, the lane recommender is highlighted in green. I had to adjust the height since the bottom was now cut off. Also the brightness adjustment is working a lot better.

If I repeatedly click the lock button on my fob it chirps
(FYI it's a GGT, no tech, DDPrem)

It feels like the car follows some bizarre logic when locking, occasionally making a horn or chirp sound. I use the walk-away auto lock/unlock feature, and most of the time it locks silently. But sometimes, especially after I close the trunk (aside from the trunk sound itself), the car randomly chirps for some reason. If I try to lock it using the key fob while standing right next to it, I sometimes get a horn, sometimes a chirp, and sometimes it locks completely silently. It seems logical to have a setting to make the car behave predictably and quietly - especially at night, as DeaneG mentioned above.

Yes, when it locks while the liftgate or frunk is still closing, it does that annoying horn honk. Seems like that's the ONE time the walkaway lock works fast (when one of those is closing). Figures. The rest of the time walkaway takes forever. 😖

(OK, not EVERY time, but often.)
