I feel like Google already has most of our driving data since we have our phones with us while driving or use their products on CarPlay or AA. Unless you are not logged in to any of their products.

As much as I like the new content, I really hope it fixes the bugs. We had a little fire in San Diego yesterday. It took 40’ for my wife to be able to drive the car because the screens were blank. Rebooting, walking away, on call with customer service… finally got it drivable after 40’. This is really a safety issue. Fortunately we did not have to evacuate, but if we need to leave in a hurry and the car is not drivable, this is an MAJOR issue. We have had nothing but problems with this Gravity since day one in December.

DD Premium here so I can't comment on Pro. Just made a loop through busy LA freeway traffic. Keeping my hand lightly on the wheel (as I would recommend to Pro Users I can say that DD is much improved. The difference reminds me of teaching my daughter to drive vs her current adult? behavior. Somehow it's much more confidence inspiring, like it has more of a clue what's going on. Example: jfth I'm following a semi @ ~50mph with following distance of 3 car lengths (not a great idea in LA traffic) and ADAS set for 68mph. A car traveling quickly up an onramp jams in front of me and then changes lanes and passes the semi. Previous DD would have slammed on the brakes. This version barely hesitated then followed the car around the semi! Awesome! drives crazy like me sometimes.

Edited to add that Premium seems to only shows 3 lanes of traffic as before but the graphic and choice of vehicle is better.

Yes, that drives me crazy too when someone cuts in, especially since I like to keep a safe distance (usually 3 or 4). Glad to see it's better.

I'm hoping they do the same with just regular ACC cruising speed too. When cruising at a set speed on a highway that has just slight ups and downs to it (with Regen set On), I can feel a little pull when Regen kicks in to keep the car from accelerating. It's subtle but it's just enough to be a little herky-jerky rather than just keeping a smooth 70 MPH.

When watching the charge/discharge power meter, I noticed that the system was making small adjustments to the acceleration at a very high frequency. My advice to Lucid is that driving feel and efficiency under DD might be improved slightly by adding a 5Hz lowpass filter to the accel/decel commands. It'll still be faster than a human.

That was GM selling the data to 3rd party data brokers, not Google, without clear consent which they were fined for. You think Lucid (or anyone else) couldn't do that with the data they collect without GAS?

Tesla, explicitly, does this for their insurance product and they don't use Android Automotive, GAS or not, at all.

Pretending that Android Automotive without GAS means it gives you more privacy than cars with GAS is amusing.

So, we're talking about GM practices to sell their data, not Google. Regardless of whether a vehicle uses GAS or not, any manufacturer could theoretically sell driving data. The existence of GAS itself doesn't automatically mean that specific data is being funneled to insurers.

All of this isn't to say that Google is some bastion of privacy protection though. They've been sued and fined for their data collection practices as well.

I now have 3.6 installed as well. I won't be driving my Gravity again until Thursday, but super happy it got installed today so I can verify my profile and charge it before leaving on Thursday. Not sure if the equipment level of each Gravity impacts install time, but it took 2 hours to install on my GGT that is fully loaded except that I do not have the HUD or trailer hitch.

Normally, I'm accepting that I won't be the first to get an update, but as soon as I saw the release notes and with my travel plans, I was eager to get it right away. I know I have already said this several times, but thank you again @marqie and the entire Lucid software team. I am extra appreciative of the effort to collect VINs and include those vehicles in the early part of the roll out. You went above and beyond any expectation I had.

Add in the outstanding experience with my local mobile service right before I left for my trip and I truly believe there are a lot of good people at Lucid who genuinely care about the company, its vehicles, and its customers.
