Ugh, just got home from work and read the thread! I think I missed the deadline! Maybe @marqie can grant a little exception? Pretty please??? 😁
 
@marqie can you comment on if the experience in the Air will be close to this? Does the Air with CCC V2 have the compute juice to do everything the Gravity does… graphically as well as speed?

When the Air UX is shared will it be at the same feature level as the Gravity is at the time it is released or are we always going to be red-headed stepkids to the Gravity folks?

And I would like to also climb on the wagon… APPLE MUSIC NATIVE APP PRETTY PLEASE!

Come on that's not risky just do it.. I installed the last update while I was on a 1500mile road trip :-) that's why we got lucids
 
Here's my review since installing. Overall very pleased. I haven't tried everything yet.

- Hands-Free Drive Assist: Solid. Took 10-15 minutes and not the stated 30 to calibrate, and then worked well right away. My daily commute includes a curvy city highway that is poorly marked in spaces. As I did before with hands-on drive assist, I still see occasional meandering toward the lane edge, but only on poorly marked turns, and I still think it slows down too much in sharp turns, but I consider this minor and I know I should always be prepared to take the wheel and pedals if needed.
- Hands-Free Lane Change Assist - Seems improved over the hands-on automatic version. Quicker, fewer failures, smoother.
- Automatic Lane Changes - So far, pleasantly surprised at the choices it takes. They seem natural and in line with the choices that frankly should be made.
- Driving Styles - Haven't messed around with this yet, but only because whatever the default is works well for my driving style already.
- Enhanced DreamDrive Visualization - Much improved. Lags behind Tesla and Rivian. I wish you could have it on all the time.
- Lock/Unlock - Clearly smoother and more consistent for me.
- HUD Behavior - I used to notice occasional sudden glare/visibility issues when light conditions change. No more.
- Frunk Operation - Still requires multiple presses of the fob or on-screen button for me to open. I think my issue is hardware and not software though. Next service visit...
- Window Behavior - Had an auto reversal incident relatively shortly after install that required a short walkaway to fix. I had closed the window entirely, and upon finishing its close, it opened all the way and would not close at all thereafter despite a reboot. So I walked about 50 yards away from the car for 5 minutes, then returned, and voila. No idea what happened. Has not repeated. Reported to Lucid anyway.
- Slowing to Stop - I know it's not in the release notes, so I don't know if they actually did anything and I could definitely just be hallucinating, but I find stopping at red lights and in traffic to be smoother/less "sudden"/less jerky since the update.

I don't understand how the blinding HUD is up to spec and not distracting, but the ambient lighting in the front is. I wish that was an option and not a mandate. Other cars have it with no issue, from the Las Vegas style of the Mercedes and the Escalade to the more subtle ones like the new(ish) Model X

The VP of Software from Lucid was at SoCal EV Fest this past weekend. I asked him if they could give the owner the option to turn it on or off and he said they'd look into it but i'm guessing it's already on the radar anyway.
 
Guys, it was nice for Marqie to do this at all. Begging for it after the deadline is just pushing it. I missed it too even though I'm here a lot but I'm not going to try to get included too at this point. Just wait for the update to push.

Hah! I had a discussion with both of the software guys about the lighting too and they said they were very aware of owner's feelings about the current system. Although I did also say it's pretty low on my "want" list right now.

HA, I guess I was the third that mentioned it too at the meet up. Maybe they’ll enable it after being pestered by us 😂

To be fair I didn't bring it up directly, I was talking about my experience in a Mercedes EV and how much I hated it except for the awesome lighting controls. :D
 
Sounds like good feedback so far. I'm excited to see DDPro continue to improve over the next couple of years.

Remember, this is likely the last promised update on DDPro that was solely developed by Lucid (the specific quote from March is: "We did this completely in house without any partners"). We'll start to see the fruits of their Nvidia partnership later this year.

Did either of you ask if the AR HUD is salvageable or not by any chance? 😅

I brought it up. HUD refinement (clarity and alignment) for the existing feature will be released in the near future.

AR is still being worked on. I didn’t ask the eta but at least we know it’s not DOA.

Some improvements are coming soon by the sound of it but the AR is still a WIP.
