Lucid Gravity Recall - Tech Crunch

Several different scenarios, that one is a bit rare. The most common one I see is during cloudy or dawn/dusk or in a parking garage kind of low-mid light scenario, the background of the projection becomes like purple square as if it doesn't know how to transparently match the background.

Attached my recent pic but it often is completely solid background purple so you can't see pretty much the most important area lol
I'm about to turn it off, the big square has happened to me in difficult traffic situations and it feels too risky at this point. As you said, happens mostly on cloudy days or at dawn and dusk.

huh I haven't seen that. Looks like your brightness goes to 11.

Yeah I turned it off recently after giving it an extended trial period, just too dangerous.

Find a parking garage near you and let us know if you can repro haha

That's on my list to be fixed as well in a couple weeks, mine does the same thing but it only started after they replaced my main power box trying to fix the L2 charging issue. Which by the way, they swear they're going to get fix for good this time.

You need to let me know if they really fix it this time and what was the fix and your SC lol, I just called CC again today and they're going to refer my case to my SC again...

Definitely will provide all details on how it turns out. One thing I did, is provide both the SC team and CC with details on every charge session since I've had the vehicle. This includes the sessions when I had the Lucid Air and it charge perfectly on my home charger. I don't want them to have any excuses, 😂.

Picked ours up Tuesday evening and they didn’t do a thorough PDI so these stickers were left.

Hi, everyone.

The recall is related to a seat bracket weld on the second-row seat on the driver's side of the vehicle (the 60% side of the 60/40 split-folding second row seats). The center seat and the passenger-side second-row seat are not affected by this recall and can continue to be used as normal.

Lucid filed this recall due to a non-compliance with federal regulations. We have not advised against using the second row seat, but do stress the recall should be addressed promptly.

Customers should contact their authorized Lucid Service Center as soon as possible to make an appointment for an inspection, which can be performed at a Lucid Service Center or through Lucid Mobile Service, where available.

You can find NHTSA's revised recall notice at https://www.nhtsa.gov/?nhtsaId=26V192000. The initial notice has been revised after it was issued yesterday.

They are re-working the weld in-house. My Gravity was in for the second-row squeak fix when this came out, and unbeknownst to me Lucid fixed the weld. Weird that they didn't mention it. I wouldn't have noticed if I didn't read the final service invoice.

That sounds like they are installing a bracket over the two welded parts to re-enforce it
Any mechanical engineers on here want to weigh in??
