Lucid Gravity 3.4.0 software update

Dowloaded the update yesterday to our two Gravities.

The good news: Lucid Assistant will now make music selections and program navigation addresses by voice command.

The bad news: the suspension on our older Gravity (the haunted one) now sits 1/2-3/4" higher on the left side than the right. I noticed it immediately from a distance when leaving the grocery story today and approaching the car from the rear. I checked each side with my hand, and the left side was a full finger width higher.

I'm sorry, but you have to chuckle at some of this stuff! You can't make it up!! Don't mean to make light of your situation, but "if i isn't one thing, it's another!" Please forgive my humor...

Why in the world they haven’t put a match to that car and given that man a new one is beyond me! 🤣

If I can forgive Lucid I can certainly forgive you. I sometimes laugh about it, too . . . but mainly to keep from crying. 🥴

Fortunately (?) the car is being trucked over to Miami at the end of the week for (I hope) a thorough diagnostic of its continuing odd behavior.
 
So I finally have an update from the update failing and rendering my car undrivable. Mobile tech came out and looked at the car. There was some module in the center console that caused the update to fail and prevented fobs and cards interacting with the car. Do car is dead until they receive the replacement part. Thankfully I’m out of town right now so I don’t need the car, but it’s a scary thought. I may still have to get a rental car if they can’t get the part and install it before the weekend, but there’s some hope.

What I don’t understand is that the car worked very well before the update and how a single failed software update caused such a serious issue. I hope everyone else avoids this issue. I will certainly be a little more cautious before automatically tapping on upgrade software in the future. I can handle just about every bug besides rendering the car undrivable, which this one unfortunately did.

I’ll provide an update when service comes back to install the part. Fingers crossed!

I was an early Model 3 owner (VIN 001992) back in late 2017. One of the OTA updates failed part way through, and the "security" portion did not complete. As a result, the key card didn't work. Apparently Phone As Key did still work, but my wife's phone battery had died. I was halfway across the country, but was able to use the mobile app to unlock the car and drive it (while charging her phone!). We did have to call Tesla Service, which had real people on the phone back then, who figured out our update failed and so manually rescheduled another one, which fixed it that evening.

That's why the message will read as "This key fob is up to date". See first pic below
Once you exit out of the Software Update screen and return to it, that message goes away to be replaced by the "Update Key Fob" screen. See second pic below.

I'm on my THIRD in two months. I actually told my SA that the buttons weren't working again but I was just going to wait for the software update because there was no reasonable way that it was a continued hardware issue for all three of my steering wheels.
 
Took another short drive today. Lost internal cell signal 3 minutes into the drive (coverage in the area is fine), so SXM stopped. Dead for 10 minutes until I pulled back into my driveway.

Happens sporadically in random places around town (including places it worked the day before), so it doesn't seem like a coverage issue. Just a car issue. The update didn't seem to fix that. In fact if anything it's been worse the last 2 days. Makes anything but FM hardly worth using. (Still frustrating they didn't put a SXM antenna on this thing.)

I really don't want to have to drive around town with my Starlink Mini hanging off the window (it wont work through the roof glass coating.)

Try the side glass on the inside. I'm going to try using it on a trip through nowhere this summer! I can mount it outside the car, but first one ripped off - apparently wouldn't hold over 90 mph...

That's what I meant - hanging off the glass on the inside of the car (I can see how that came off as meaning the outside). It does work there. I'll do that on road trips because it's more needed then but I really don't like the idea of leaving it suction-cupped up there all the time, getting in the way of using that rear door. It's not exactly an elegant solution.

If the 3rd row windows were big enough, I'd mount it there, but they're not. I haven't tried the liftgate but the view out the rear is already bad and I can't block any more of that. And the roof glass is a no-go, unfortunately, because of the metallic glass coating.
 
Finally took he car for a short 30 mins ride:
Noticed pretty much all the improvements noted by others here, and I concur, car feels pretty solid, no false alarms for now at least.
Here're my favorites:
- SSP on high immersion setting sound really good on Tidal
- No lag side view cameras and also much better resolution
- HVAC is less noticeable, no whistling sounds or CAT 5 winds
Some minor issues: vehicle seems not to "see" cellular connection (there's a strikethrough cloud image on the upper screen) , as it exits garage and only catches to it about 3-5 mins later. I noticed this behavior also back on 3.3.20
 
Is Live View working for anyone? It has never worked properly for me and I have tried turning off network, signing out of phone and back in, etc.

I was fiddling with my phone earlier and turned off Halo and then tried Live View...and it worked!!! Once. After that, back to normal non-working behavior even when I toggled Halo on/off.

Not excusing the radio not working at all, but for a work around, why not just use your phone and Bluetooth? XM has an app (it actually has more channels in the app than the radio) and any other music service does as well. So tho not ideal at all, you can still listen to what you want without too much extra hassle.

It worked before this update about 80% of the time for me and I've only tried once since, and it worked. It's admittedly a beta for them, so I guess we still have to give it more grace...

I'm getting lost cell connection a lot too. Even worse since the update. 20 minute drive with no SXM today (around areas where there is service).

HIGH BEAM ASSIST UNAVAILABLE again on my last drive (stays off for the whole drive). Looked like that had gone away since yesterday morning but it's back again. But then I got out and let it sit for 10 minutes. Next startup that message was gone... but DREAM DRIVE UNAVAILABLE flashed for 5 seconds this time. Same ol pattern for the error messages, even after the update.
