Lucid Gravity 3.4.0 software update

As I guessed. Mostly rolling out right at the end of the day on Friday after most of their teams have gone home. 🤣

It's a sign. I'm next in line for the update.
 
My initial impressions since install:
  • Improved Camera Quality: Noticeably better to me, particularly in turn signal/blind spot cameras.
  • Improved Key Fob Performance: Substantially improved walk-up and walk-away performance. Unlocking/locking is consistent and timing feels more "appropriate." Overall passive entry/exit behavior feels cleaner and more reliable. TBD on battery life. I've replaced the battery.
  • Fewer Alerts: Before the update, I was getting various alerts daily that didn't seem to reflect functional limitations, most commonly Sensors Blocked - DreamDrive Limited Until Cleared coupled with High Beam Assist Unavailable. And there's a location near my house where I consistently was getting errant Wrong Way messages (a street becomes one way the other direction if you were to go straight through a stoplight). Small sample size, but I've seen none of these messages since the update. Not to say I'm 100% alert free - I have had a couple of other fully transient "Unable to record video" alerts that I've reported to Lucid.
  • LiveView: LiveView is working consistently for the first time after doing a full cycle of WiFi and BT in my vehicle and reconnecting to home WiFi. That wasn't resolving things in 3.3.20.
  • HVAC Noise Improvement: Almost no whistling! Still a bit loud at times, but the noise is dispersed, and it's frankly now no louder than my previous SUV.
  • Map Clutter Reduced: I now notice all the red light cameras and speed cameras around me on my maps, which was not something I clocked before. For what it's worth, I also updated my maps from v204 to v206 in connection with the OTA update. I'm not sure if I'm noting this due to decluttering/removal of certain signs from maps, updated maps, or better color-coding, but whatever it is, I like it.
  • Second Row Button Performance Improved: With three kids and regular toting of gear, this is helpful. In addition to what's in the release notes, when the second row is folded flat, a long press moves the front row forward so that I can lift up the second row seatback without hitting the front seat seatback. I had not noticed that before.
  • Lucid Vibes Persistence: As previewed, ambient lighting color is indeed now consistent with the most recent selection across multiple driving sessions and sleep/wake cycles.
  • Seat Adjustment From Screns: The seat menu now displays new labeled pop-up overlays (e.g., “Thigh Support” and “Side Support”) that are intuitive and easy to understand, and that I do not recall being present previously in the same way. Controls no longer available on-screen (now physical-only) include seat forward/back positioning, seat height up/down adjustment, seatback recline adjustment, and lumbar support adjustment. Frankly, I prefer the physical controls for most of the now "missing" controls.
  • Useful See-Through Vehicle View: Extremely useful for low-speed parking/positioning, particularly with the ice and snow currently on the ground here in the Mid-Atlantic.
  • App Function: I had one preconditioning error that hasn't repeated, and a temporary instance of all app commands immediately resulting in "That didn't work. Try again." that resolved following in-vehicle WiFi and BT disconnect/connect. Also had the "windows down" note about climate notwithstanding that windows weren't down. May just be the app, not vehicle software.

Forgot one - I can definitely tell the sound is more enveloping with Immersion Control on high. If you turn it to low, there's more of a flat affect. I've set it to about 80%.

Also, I'm currently plugged in and charging, and just tested LiveView again. It does, in fact, work while charging.

This is fine for the driver, but what if you want to adjust it for the passenger? The passenger may not be able to use the physical controls?

Interesting. I had not thought about that. I could see the utility of being able to adjust for someone who is disabled or elderly, someone who's fallen asleep and you want to make them more comfortable, or a friend/new passenger you want to impress or "show the ropes" to. Do you have other use cases in mind? Note that "Digital controls will be reintroduced in a future release" per the release notes, so this is only temporary.

They did say they’ll be adding more over time
 
My car was in service the last 2 weeks and while there I had them check why my car won't continuously charge at 80A for more than 15 - 30 minutes, as this seems to be an issue for a few people on the various forums. They ran a test with their charger and the issue showed itself. And best part, their charger was only charging at 67A. Now the service center is telling me the new update will resolve this issue by changing battery heating parameters in the software. The service representative tried to tell me this was a normal act on the charging end for the Gravity and didn't really know what to say when I questioned her that its not and should continuously charge at 80A. For anyone who also has this issue and received the update, please let me know if this issue has resolved itself on your end. I don't get my ride back until Monday, once back in town, and I want to make sure this is indeed a fixed issue prior to picking it up if possible. Thx!

Sample size too small right now. TBD. But no complaints in the first couple of calls from the car.

I have not yet been notified for the vehicle update, but I have for the KEY FOB update. I tried like 5 times, and it always says can't find the FOB. Once it found it, updated to 99%, then sat there for like 30 minutes, then nothing. I've tried again like 5 more times, and it keeps saying it can't find the FOB. I've tried shaking it, I've tried pulling out replacing the battery. Anyone else see this? Suggestions?
 
Does new update let you see around the vehicle while going faster than 15 mph, similar to the Tesla?

I did the same and it seems to be working. I should have thought of this sooner because it seems to wake up when it's parked at my office (not on wifi). If any Lucid developers read this, I was connected to an eero 7 wifi network with an outdoor access point 5 feet away from the vehicle. 🤷🏼‍♂️
