Lucid Comes in Last in Autonomy Review

That sounds about right, although the Mercedes/NVidia car was only a technology preview at CES. Hopefully Lucid is doing something with that, since they also have the NVidia partnership and Orin chipset.
 
If these are so great why is it on a flatbed??!...lol

I believe that at this stage, it should not be included in the list at all. Lucid has acknowledged that they are working on it towards the end of this year. Some times this Tesla fans want to add Lucid in to the mix to just make fun of it. I wish Lucid make some progress by end of this year and not like leaving the Air behind.
 
Yeah I'm not surprised here. I don't expect Lucid will be competitive on this front until they start featuring updates that are result of their Nvidia partnership. As they've stated before, everything they've released to date, including their upcoming hands free, is the product of solely their internal team.
 
Not surprised on the result. Training autonomous driving requires a lot of data and compute, which out of those companies (Mercedes with deep partnership with Nvidia), Lucid is dead last. I agree Lucid needs to leverage the Nvidia partnership since Nvidia has a TON more money than Lucid :p

The good news is that Youtubers (Kyle @OOS, Engineering Explained, and even Everyday Chris) criticizing Lucid has created positive results from Lucid.
 
Yawn, wake me up ( or dig me up) when we have real level 4/5, until then, I’ll happily, safely, drive my own car until the day I die.

We won’t have true level 4/5 for at least another 20 years. All else is hype…” hey, look at me”…..

It is not true that customers were ignored before then. The recent changes have much more to do with the leadership shakeup than any YouTube video.

That the new leadership pays attention to user reviews (or YouTube videos) is perhaps a change, but the idea that they didn’t listen to customers prior to any single YouTube video is simply untrue.

There are countless examples of @marqie helping folks on this forum, for example, and this isn’t even a “standard” feedback channel.
 
The good news is if Lucid does truly release point-to-point by EOY, even if only in select areas, their broader ADAS system will be a generational leap forward from their current offerings. Exciting times ....
