Morning! I searched for this topic and keywords. So, if there's another existing thread, I didn't find it. I've gotten this message multiple times before. I've had a valid payment in my wallet since Lucid first requested it. I used EA for my free charging twice in the last few days (I have free EA until March). Each of the previous times I got this message, I contacted customer care. And each time, they said I had to delete my current (valid) payment method and reenter it. Is anyone else getting this message/glitch? Or am I just super lucky?

I should not have to do this repeatedly. I'm not going to bother calling this time. This is really annoying, Lucid. Fix the problem.

Yes we just experienced this, too. First time EA charging in months and the same message. We just added a different card and switch between which is primary. Saves time instead of retyping all the day.

I have had the same issue multiple times, as recently as yesterday morning, and I have been doing the exact same thing as @TakeDuo. Switching the default credit card seems to appease the system for a while, and then I simply switch it back again. (I don't know for sure if it's only when that happens, but the app also asks me to re-up their cookie settings every time.)

This happens when I'm using the free EA plug & charge service, as I have never initiated the Lucid Charging - Base Plan upgrade.

There have been a few times when the vehicle display says something to the effect that it will allow me to proceed if I agree to pay. The couple times that I've accepted that, I was not charged anyway.

Also, has anyone else noticed that the vehicle's old plug and charge system's Service Summary now also shows Tesla Superchargers (albeit as inactive)? Seems odd.

Great suggestion! I will do the same. Thank you!

Same for me.

I guess this is another robustness with a new and improved software that fixes one thing then create another.

It seems to be a harmless bug but annoying and distressing because it threatens cutting off EA charging.

This happened to me again this morning. One thing to note... At some point, the display told me that I had to select the charging station in the app. No real surprise there, but the (already open) app shows no place to do so. Turns out you have to close the app and reopen it, at which time the ability to select a charging station appears.

I can appreciate the complexity of something like fixing the auto-open lag, where I suspect that Lucid grapples with the trade-off between phantom drain & fast activation, but something like this problem just requires a bit of time by someone who actually gives a crap... and yet its been like this for months.

Just another one of the minor annoyances that needlessly diminish an otherwise great vehicle. And PLEASE don't tell me that it's more important for Lucid to focus on fixing all the Gravity software issues. This should not be an either-or proposition. Lucid is throwing a ton of money on building capacity and discounting its products to drive demand. I can think of nothing would do more to drive demand, and positon Lucid to eventually need all of that capacity, than to divert some of its resources to fixing its software bugs, fulfilling its long-standing promises, and making its customers (old and new) happy with how they are supported. Things do not have to be perfect. They just need to be moving forward at an acceptable pace.

Sometimes, Lucid subtly reminds me of a (now pretty much failed) tech company that I worked for many years ago. Incredibly, its CEOs oft-stated philosophy was to "Keep the customer sullen, but not rebellious.". I wonder why they pretty much failed.

FWIW, if you had waited the app may have updated. It lags occasionally, and sometimes requires a restart, but it has nothing to do with the charging.

Yesterday, my wife’s app was convinced we were at 38% charge but when we reopened the app it updated.

Well, for what it's worth, the app was already open, and I did wait a few minutes. At least in my vehicle, closing and restarting the app seems to be necessary whether the 'fix' is to select the charging station via the app, or to accept all cookies for the umpteenth time, and then switch my default payment to the other of my two cards on file... the 'other' of which I added just to save time going through the whole card-add process every time the charging service is for some reason dissatisfied with whichever of the two cards happens to be the currently activated default. So back and forth I go from charge to charge. It's not the end of the world, but it's something that somehow seems at odds with the relentless pursuit of excellece.

I believe you; I was just providing my experience. It’s only happened to us that one time.
