Lucid called requesting battery swap on my 22 air dream edition

Received a call from Lucid motors saying that the battery pack needs to be swapped as part of a necessary recall/upgrade. I only have 3000 miles on the car. At the end he mentioned it would be remanufactured battery.

Not sure this makes sense as my battery is probably 99.9% life left and will be getting a remanufactured one.

I have similar issue and they replaced it with a comparable(Mile to battery health) remanufactured one. The next day i got Turtle mode and car stopped and they have replaced the battery again. Inconvenience aside, Lucid took good care of my car.
 
We had the same call over the summer. I was around 55k miles then. It had been a positive experience for me even with a remanufactured battery. No faults or issues. I also gained a higher maximum battery charge level per HA integration numbers.

Lithium batteries age with time ("calendar aging") as well as with cycling. It's likely the remanufactured battery will have roughly the same capacity as your current one.

Remanufactured is not the same as refurbished. “Remanufacturing is a more thorough, higher-standard process where a product is completely disassembled, worn parts are replaced with new or repaired ones, and it is reassembled to meet or exceed original specifications, often with a full warranty. Refurbishing is a less rigorous process that focuses on repairing only the failed components to make the product functional, which may result in lower cost and less comprehensive warranties.”

You should have them replace it if they need to.
 
You have a 22 with only 3000 miles on it? That is like 1000 miles a year.

That caught my eye too. I was thinking there was a typo in there somewhere.
 
Thanks. Yeah 3,500 miles actually. I have a few other cars.
