Lucid app update v1.49.0

It also appears, on my phone, to have fixed the rendering of the 3D car model.

Spoke too soon! Rendering still degraded much of the time.
Mine does show the 3D view properly. But in about 10-15 secs it switches back to the 2D vertical. There’s no setting option to keep it on 3D.

Are you on the latest iOS version?
Have you tried uninstalling the app and installing again?

Haven’t had the issue you’re seeing at all. It’s a gimmicky 3D rendering that has no impact on the Apps functionality so you’re not missing out on much anyway.:)

Yes on the latest iOS, no on uninstalling and reinstalling. The app works, and I agree, since the app functions I’m not bothered about the spinning car 🙂

It’s not going back to 2D. It’s just spinning back to its default position. You can spin it again as much as you like. It just settles back to that spot after a certain number of seconds. Or if you change to another tab. That’s normal behavior.

It’s a graphics intensive operation. Which phone do you have? It’s possible you don’t have the memory or the graphical power on your phone to keep up with it.

iPhone 14 Pro.

It does work perfectly smoothly for an arbitrary time before degrading.

hmm. Weird. That’s a fairly new phone.

Having only had the vehicle a week and just getting used to everything didn't feel confident enough to delete it a need to setup my digital key etc. So will do that later if it persists.
If you do delete and have trouble reconnecting the mobile key, I’d be willing to help walk you through it over a phone call or FaceTime if you’d like.

I had a similar issue with the widget previously. After deleting app, reinstalling it and reconnecting the car to the widget, it now works perfectly. I'd suggest just repeating the process again.

No, I haven’t. The car was in for service when I updated the app and I haven’t had a chance to do that since I picked it up. I’ll give it a try tomorrow.

I deleted and re-paired my iPhone mobile key two weeks ago. Since then, the car doesn’t unlock any better than it did before. But interestingly, I’ve had a half dozen cases after that where it wouldn’t unlock at all even if I stood there and waited. That never happened before the update. The first time it did that, I opened the app and successfully used the unlock button in it. The second time I restarted my phone and it unlocked. The rest of the times I killed the Lucid app and restarted it, and in all of those cases the car unlocked as soon as the app started back up.
