News flash, I know it may be hard to absorb but literally (nearly) no one cares these days what is under that iceberg. I know it's hard stuff but it is table-steaks. It is just expected that HVAC, traction control, ABS, charging, motors, steering, etc. "just work" so no credit there. They want their doors to unlock, and they want to control their music and see their navigation *at-the-same-time* (gaaasp)

Don't get me started on Lucid's ADAS... I did not spec DreamDrive Pro on my car for a reason... it basically sucks and we all know it.

You, my friend, have not tried the latest iteration of DDP, which very much doesn’t suck. But okay, way to go on about something you literally can’t know anything about.

Anyway, it’s clear this is pointless, since evidently the only software anyone should care about is, well, the software apparently *you* care about. Stuff other people care about is table-stakes. Okay. I’m fine with that.

I disagree but you are entitled to your opinion. I’ve been using ADAS the entire time we’ve been conversing on this thread and it has operated just fine. Even better that before on curves. Maybe I’m just not a cynic, 61k+ miles and I haven’t had an issue.

I can speak with absolute 100% certainty Bosch does not. Bosch built the TCS that is in my DE and in the Airs released before Sapphire. The 1000Hz one is entirely in-house, and developed by Lucid for the Sapphire and then brought to the Pure. It is my understanding it may eventually be back-ported to the older vehicles but they are doing tons of testing before that ever happens, if it ever does.


You got here right around when they were very busy with Gravity. Give it a bit of time for things to get settled. OTA updates prior to the last few months were much more frequent.

So pink slips that Lucid handles the TCS inhouse in my '25 touring? I might be interested in that bet. Regardless it doesn't matter - as well, it's TCS - not rocket science. Never heard anyone rave about how much better the TCS is now or better than the industry standard... never.

As you say, time will tell on OTA updates. So far, as another poster has said, my vacuum cleaner has had better updates, and I hope Lucid's software team knows people are watching.

Yeah, nope I tried it, it sucks, unless you like arbitrary slowing on curves and weird going wide on turns, then I guess it's great. It is really not natural.

Frankly, it’s hard to have a conversation with someone who is immovable. I like the software, is it perfect, no. Is any car’s software? Absolutely not.

Lucid software works for me, I don’t think “we all know” is an accurate statement. I enjoy taking this car for super long car drives just to drive the car. Not even to go anywhere, and don’t have issues with the ADAS or general software layout.

Wishlists, yes, but unusable ADAS and Software like you suggest absolutely not.

Idk how you think there is a consensus on ADAS sucking, or the software being unusable. Your 6 months of ownership is showing.

Maybe they can devleop a reliable lock/unlock system. Having done that, they can move on to Android Auto.

Seriously, I like what Slate is contemplating. For example, provide a mounting slot and power plug, and let users buy the A.A. devices and screens they want.
Lucid could do this by showing us the plug specs and location for the big screen - We could then buy our own AA and other devices to plug in..

But that is not luxury....

Who cares about ADAS......Lucid's are meant to be driven......ADAS is all hype....

Until ADAS has been proven to be a safer driver than I am, I dont care about it. Not spending money on ADAS if it will cause an accident that would not have happened if I was driving.

If you are comparing it to Tesla, don't forget phantom braking and all those who died using Tesla FSD...and remember those emergency vehicles that were hit. Yeah, if you have a CEO who hypes to the moon, yes, you would think every other ADAS is crap. Lucid forward collision and rear cross traffic alert systems work great! That is all you need for now. Drive the car! A safe ADAS will take at least another decade- unless you use Waymo.

Respectfully, traction control in a 2007 Corvette is pretty terrible as compared to any modern car, let alone the Sapphire. Trust me, the door lock/unlocking issue is incredibly annoying to deal with on a daily basis, but there are clear handling benefits from a more responsive traction control system as horsepower increases. A simple comparison you can look at for sports cars is how modern McLarens are able to put their power down compared to Hellcats. One is reliably faster than the others and that is largely due to traction control systems.
