The "Out of Spec Motoring" video of this event said that the Air will have power-operated passenger doors, but they will not be available at start of production. This means, I assume, that the Dream Edition will not have them while later, less-expensive versions will. Given that the rear doors will open a full 90 degrees, the absence of this feature could pose a difficulty.
Power-operated trunks and hatchbacks have been around for several years on cars far less expensive than the Lucid Air. The associated technology (sensors, actuators, etc.) is hardly new. I wonder why the Air will not launch with this feature? Does this also mean the early production cars will also not have power-operated trunks or hoods?
