Looking to lease

Hi all. Been lurking in the forum for the past 6-8 months. Looking to lease a AGT or the Touring. Have 90 mile commute daily. Therefore might decide to go with the GT.

Where I live, there are no showrooms. The closest one is about 300 miles away. Couple of questions. From options perspective, want the DD pro; SS pro. With limited availability for DD pro looks like I will have to wait for the 2026s

Still undecided about the glass vs aluminum roof. Have the Taycan with the glass roof now. Has not bothered me in terms of heat this summer.

1. Is it better to talk to a SA at the closest showroom or one from the Lucid headquarters in Cali?
2. I am not in a hurry. Are the lease deals typically better in December? I read that the discounts are better on "on site" cars. Might have to keep checking the inventory to see if one with DD Pro shows up
3. From my reading it seems that the lease deals are best for 36 months they BOA?
4. What is everyone's experience with glass roof vs the aluminum?

Thank you in advance for the help.

I had a similar situation where the closest showroom was ~ 500 miles away. I initially talked to a SA in Cali, but found the experience underwhelming. When I took a test drive at the closest showroom (which was Chicago for me), I found the SAs there more responsive and overall easier to deal with. So when I actually ended up getting the car, I dealt with the SAs at the studio directly instead of involving the SA in Cali. Your local experience may vary, but I think in general it would be better to deal with personnel at the studio that you are planning to get the vehicle from directly.

Lease deals keep changing. All I can say is that I had initially test driven in November-December and kept track of lease deals for about 6-7 months. When I did eventually get the car, the lease deals offered to me were very similar to what was being offered in December. If you are thinking of getting the 2026 model, then you might as well wait till December to see if you get anything better. If you want the 2025 model, then of course would get it now. DD Pro is unlikely to show up in a 2025 model at this time from what I have heard from the sales reps. I was unable to get a car with DDPro on the 2025 at the studio in Chicago. I had test driven one with DDPro, but that was before the current software update, so you might want to get input from someone who actually has DDPro about how much they like/dislike it.

3. From my reading it seems that the lease deals are best for 36 months they BOA?

Not necessarily true. For me, 18 month was the better deal when I ran the numbers - something that surprised the SA too. It also depends on what you plan to do with the car when the lease is up. I am thinking on keeping it (if everything turns out ok in this extended "test drive"). The specifics of what is offered will matter. Make sure to run the numbers for both, depending on what your long term intentions are with the car.

4. What is everyone's experience with glass roof vs the aluminum?

I have the glass roof. I actually wanted the aluminum, but do not mind the glass roof thus far. But then, I have had covered parking everywhere I have been in the short timeframe I have had the car. So depending on your local weather and parking conditions, things may vary.

One way to have an extended test drive is to rent one through Turo. Availability varies by location. We rented an Air GT and drove 800 miles one weekend through some twisty mountain roads before ordering the GDE we're still waiting on.

Congratulations, you will love this purchase / lease. My AGT was delivered about a month ago. Here are my thoughts:

I wound up speaking with a SA in Tysons Corner Va. His name is Lindsley Orr. He is very knowledgeable and is one of the top sales people at Lucid. I would call him (I believe he can sell anywhere in the country). He knew all the deals and latest info. I did get the $1,000 credit for buying an on dealership car but spent $500 shipping the car to NC.
I felt very strongly that I did not want a glass roof. Being in the southern US didn't want to deal with the heat, plus I have a bald head and although there is screening it cant help pre cancer stuff that I have to have taken off my head. The glass roof is supposed to be less stiff as well so the Al roof provides better handling I am told.

The SS Pro is DEFINITELY worth it. It is standard in the AGT. I had / have little interest in DD Pro as I would not use it than as a toy for a while. I enjoy driving this car! I hear that DD Pro is excellent.

My experience is that the 2025 with DDP are sold out first.

Hope this helps, feel free to use my referral code in my profile.

I got my AGT about two months ago. I bought it sight unseen. This is the second car in a row I've bought sight unseen, and both cars have turned out great. I feel you can learn just about everything about a car online via Youtube and auto forums, so I am willing to forgo a test drive. I know someone with a 2022 Pure and they love it, with some of the caveats you've read about here, so it was helpful to have that kind of personal feedback.

I ordered my car in March, and even back then DDP was a bit of a challenge to find. DDP is the only DD version that has lane centering, and that was a must have for me. The recently introduced Hands Free version is amazingly good. Worth the price of admission IMO.

I have the SSP, and I am not particularly blown away by it, so I imagine regular SS could be a bit of a turd.

I wanted the aluminum roof, but ended up with glass to shorten delivery time. I would still like to have aluminum, but I have the sun shades installed and they are very good.

I don't know anything about timing and discounts. I got almost $30k off on my car, and the final price seemed pretty good to me. The leasing process is about the least transparent thing you could experience. They gave me a monthly payment and told me to accept it. I asked for additional details and was ghosted. I almost killed the deal at that point. But the monthly payment seemed fair so I went ahead. Once I got the final documents, I saw the the money factor was high, and there were some junk fees in there. Still I took delivery.

The car is awesome. Powerful, luxurious, fun to drive, beautiful with very advanced features. The few bugs I've experienced have been minor IMO. If I were driving 90 miles a day, I would definitely want it to be in this car. Whether it makes sense for you is a question I can't answer.

Thank you all for the replies

@Bill AGT funny you mentioned Lindsley. That's who I am dealing with as
Today he did find a AGT with DD pro
Earlier than I thought I would buy

But the 7500 credit is gone in one month

So I might pull the trigger on 36 month lease...

Did you guys do PPF ?

No way ppf got leased car. $10,000 for ppf and I really hope I don’t have $10,000 of damage at the end of my lease.

I was going to mention the tax credit going away. I bet Lucid continues to keep the $7,500 deal in place at least through year end. If you don’t need it now, I can’t imagine lease terms being worse in November or December.

Would never PPF a lease. Ceramic maybe, but only for easier washing, and even then probably not.
