Latest update - weird bug where it wouldn't go into reverse (due to rain?)

I recently did the latest update, and it's been great for bug fixes, but I ran into an odd bug when out in the afternoon. I went to the store, it was dry and partly cloudy. Parked. went in, and while inside, it started raining lightly. When I got back to the car, and tried to put it in reverse, it kept acting like someone was standing behind the car, and applying the brakes. It would not let me back up. It eventually did, but it was a bit frustrating.

Has anyone else experienced this, and is there an easy workaround?

Thanks!

I’ve never run into this, but you can try turning off reverse parking protection if it happens again or regularly. I have seen occasional phantom brakes in reverse (it’s a new feature), but never from rain.

It hasn't happened since, and it was just as it started to rain. Maybe not enough rain on the sensor to make it clear it was rain. I'll post if it happens again. I didn't think to turn off the feature. I didn't realize it had it until it actively starting braking on me. :)

Outside of that, this update has been GREAT. Much improved as far as reboots and Sirius XM issues. I do wish the car had an actual satellite antenna, as it seems to rely only on cellular for the sat radio.

It’s a software bug introduced on the latest update.. check out the treads about the latest update and Car won’t go into drive .. in your case reverse ..

That made me laugh
hahaha, okay that's not what I meant but you're not wrong. 🤣

I meant the reverse parking braking feature was new, and it does actually work well lol - it just is a little oversensitive. they fixed it by adding a less aggressive option, but I suspect it still needs more tweaks.
