Keyboard full of bugs

Hi,

I am not sure if this is has been reported but I have noticed a lot of bugs in the keyboard since day 1 from owning the car.

1- special symbols that do not show up in English keyboard (as per one of the owners, I need to double check)
2- I type in search bars in Navigation, Spotify or any app. but the actual typing is not happening and I have to play around with the language and the keyboard to make it works
3- the predictive suggestion above the keyboard sometime it displays different language suggested words like Japanese or Chinese
4- typing / changing to a different language is not smooth, glitchy and buggy and it wont suggest proper language words or even type

I can confirm this. I had to change my password on delivery day, while sitting in my new car with my delivery advisor trying to log into my account, because the keyboard didn’t have this character (^). You’ll read here in the forum that “it’s not a big deal and just use a different character that’s available”, but a keyboard and standard characters is the most basic software functionality in a touchscreen-based input system. It’s been a year and after many OTA updates, the keyboard is still the same and the (^) character is still not there.

Just upgraded to 2.8.4 and the missing keyboard characters are still missing. Incredible! I can't connect to my home WiFi networks. And no, I'm not changing the WiFi password since this would mean updating dozens of other devices.

You’re not wrong, but I wouldn’t hold my breath on this. It was the same way on the Air for a very long time.

WiFi isn’t all that important to the car in general, but I would either change the password or make a separate SSID if you want to connect the car.

Otherwise you’re going to just remain frustrated for possibly a long time, as this is a relatively small quality of life issue I don’t know when they’re going to fix, and doesn’t affect many people, as most people’s WiFi passwords are still their phone number or the default password written on the router. I wish I were wrong, but I’m not.
