Just received a Stop Driving your Gravity phone call from Lucid Service? Anyone else getting this call?

I can only imagine getting this message late on a snowy / rainy Sunday night, 3.5 hours from home, with a loaded car and 3 tired kids after a ski weekend. A Lucid is looking less and less likely for me.
Do you know how I know it won't happen to me? Because apparently my Gravity which I ordered with 22"/23" tires came with summer tires and has no available winter or even all weather options. With the Tahoe season opening, I can't even take it to the snow without buying a whole new set of wheels and tires or using chains (which I won't do).

That’s exactly why I ruled out the 22/23 wheels in the first place.

Lucid has a solution: an expensive one but perhaps a bit of research before ordering may have avoided the additional expense (...jus' sayin')

Nothing bets the Gravity in performance, handling, efficiency and space. NOTHING!…..in a way, it’s good they are being proactive. Better than the car breaking down in a middle of nowhere.

Rivian feels like an older generation.

Pirelli now makes a Scorpion Winter 2 for the 23" Gravity wheel and a Scorpion Winter for the 22" wheel. There's a good chance that a Winter 2 for the front wheel might be in the works, as it sometimes takes tire manufacturers a while to catch up with new car models in terms of tire fitments.

Or maybe you could just buy one pair of the 22" Aether wheels and go to a square wheel/tire setup by putting the 22" wheels on all around for winter driving with the Scorpion Winter? The diameters and rev/mile figures between the 22" and 23" tires are pretty close: 30.4" vs 30.9" and 684 vs 673. Maybe give Lucid a call to see if this would pose any problem?

Service Update: The tech arrived as expected and removed both tires off the rear suspension and made his inspection. He found that everything was within spec and no replacement of anything was needed. Great outcome.

I would say the service has been great. I think having them call out of the blue was concerning but shows that is modern technology at work. I am thinking the old fashion dealer would have gotten a service bulletin and would have scheduled a visit some weeks away. Lucid showed up to my office to check the car was safe to drive BEFORE something terrible happened.

Yes we don't want things to happen like this, having no issues is ideal but not practical on bleeding edge technology. Something I remind myself about, "When you have nice things, things are going to happen. If you don't want things to happen, then don't have nice things."

Overall whether there was a problem or not, I am glad Lucid had my back and didn't let something cause a terrible accident. My view of this is positive, I will say I hope I don't see the service tech anytime soon.

Awesome. This sounds like something was discovered during a particular production period and they did a check on any possibly affected vehicles. That's great.

(As a counter-example, Car and Driver got a 2026 Model X and... none of the lug nuts on the right front wheel were tight: https://www.caranddriver.com/reviews/a69239267/2026-tesla-model-x-test/)

Actually, I think they probably received an alert about a critical component in the car. I believe Lucid has some kind of monitoring going on on the cars and can detect critical failures before they happen in most cases.
