So, I've been a day-one reservation holder for a GT, switched to a DE two days after the announcement (as soon as I saw they decontented the GTs), and have been patiently, anxiously, waiting for updates from my advisor. Two weeks ago, he said I was assigned a factory production batch number, whatever that means, and that he thought it would be built within the next eight weeks. Last week, I reached out to see if there had been any change; there had not, not surprisingly. Today, I reached out again to follow up, and I'm getting impatient, but only because of all the videos that have been released lately. He said it didn't appear that my configuration would be built soon. He stated he had some unassigned vehicles if I was interested - absolutely. Unfortunately, none of those were close enough for me to want (Black exterior, or platinum trim - which I did not know they were building).

Disappointingly, I said we would leave the Dream Edition and continue the wait.

About 3 hours later, I get a call back from my advisor. He said he had something for me... Yesterday, a GT was built to my exact spec (my original spec, in fact), but not the Dream edition. We scooped it up, and it is now assigned to me!! The best part is that it comes with the technology package included, so I don't miss out on features like the HUD or dynamic lighting.

I'll miss the raw power and being able to dust a new Rivian Quad on the interstate, but I'm okay saving a bit over $15k!

Just excited, and had to share because no one else, wife, friends, kids, etc. will understand my excitement...

That's a good advisor!
I'm convinced, they make a difference.

This will show as "In Production" until it is accepted at your local delivery center.

Congrats! A bit surprising that they are already producing GTs with the HUD. As we've discussed extensively, delivery ordering is a bit of a mystery (and perhaps geography-driven) -- I believe I have the 2nd DE in the northeast.

It took me proactively bugging him...not much has come voluntarily. But, agreed, I would still be waiting without had it not been for him actively looking on my behalf. I did state that I was beginning to make alternative arrangements, as I will soon need a vehicle, which is true.

While I wish this was an assigned DE, I think for 99.5% of the things it will be fine. Honestly, my bigger gripe would have been accepting a vehicle with missing features. That would have bugged me WAY more than missing 200 hp. First I've heard of GTs being built with Tech package. Wasn't even on my radar. He also had some Platinum trim Gravities built, or being built, that he could have assigned, but I definitely want Stealth.

I believe you about the proactively bugging.
I'm guessing they're busy. However, my SA did say there are some slow days.
I'm not sure how much the Lucid factory staff contacts studios versus the other way around.
My SA mentions "her Logistics team" often when we are communicating.
I think some SAs are just more agressive/proactive than others. Especially in response to customer requests.

Your situation/need is more immediate than mine, so I hope it all works out for you.
The patient part of me says "Wait for bugs/issues to be resolved and OTA updates. EOY works".
The impatient part says "get one asap".

If there is a GT with tech…I am guessing that means they are having a hard time selling the 450 DEs and are now shuffling hardware elsewhere.

Not super positive news but it makes $$ sense

Maybe…but that wouldn’t explain why I was able to get this GT that was spec’s exactly the same as my Dream Edition. Same color, wheel, seating, options. The only difference now is horsepower. I would have happily paid the extra for the dream, but have no real complaints dropping back to a GT

I think I was also offered this vehicle. I noted it in the main deliveries thread that it appeared there were some GTs with tech package sneaking off the line.
